Kameron's POV ...
"Do you need me to come with you?" Callie asked me for the tenth time.
"No. I would rather have you here and safe than you be anywhere near my mother. She has already shown me how far she is willing to go to keep us apart and I don't want her near you."
She nodded in understanding.
After our little moment in the lodge garden, I had taken her back to my house. I needed some alone time with my mate after having been away from her for so long.
I felt like a new man. I was revitalized and my energy had returned. It was like one moment my entire heart had been breaking and the next it was whole and complete again.
I stepped forward and cupped Callie's face in my hands, "I will be back before you know it. I just need to take care of this then I am all yours."
