'Holy… what an upgrade!' Alex looked at the paper with wide eyes.

"Well? Can I see it?" Julis asked, barely controlling herself to not grab the paper out of his hands.

He snapped out from his shock and handed the paper over to her.

The pinkhead quickly took it and started to read the piece of paper.

Her eyes bulged out seeing the information.

"H-How did your stats increase that much?" She asked him, lifting her eyes from the paper.

To be completely honest, Alex had no idea, for one, he had no clue how long he stayed in that dungeon… Does time even flow there?

All he could say is that he was there for a very long time,

Because he was even feeling somewhat nostalgic seeing his room!

"No idea, Julis, I can't track time in that place, the sun is not moving and I don't get hungry or thirsty." He explained to her, now that he has updated his stats, the dizziness was gone, and he is somewhat rejuvenated to the point where he can finally leave his bed.

The moment he got up from the bed, the pink-head's eyes were on his chest.

She then motioned for him to turn around.

Alex eye-rolled at her and did what she asked.

"So, a big gash on the chest, and it looks like they assaulted you from behind." The girl inspected him.

"It appears so. I did take out 4 wolves, and one of them was a pack leader." He smiled, remembering that for a second.

Julis' lips twitched hearing that…

"Just…take care of yourself, it looks quite painful."

The pinkhead had no idea. Even though the pain was dulled by adrenaline, and the electricity numbed it, it was still very painful.

He nodded at her concern, he did try to survive for as long as possible. And even though he went down, he took the pack leader with.

Seeing that he agreed to her request. Julis looked back at his paper, she can roughly estimate just how long he was in there…

Some of his stats were even in the 100's! That is a massive upgrade!

While Julis was thinking, Alex grabbed his uniform and started to walk towards the shower, but, before that, he stopped and looked at the thinking Princess.

"I am going for a shower, you've had yours?"

His words brought her back from her thinking.

"Yes, you can have it, I've already had mine. I am going to start making breakfast…" She then thought of something, "why don't we prepare bento for school?" She asked with a small smile.

Alex's eyes nearly glowed from excitement hearing the word 'bento'!

'Damn… just how long was I in there to get that easily excited?'

"Sure, you need help?" He asked,

"With the way you are? No thanks, you should just rest up instead." She shook her head, seeing the tired-looking Alex.

He nodded slowly and went into the shower.

Alex was quite shocked at just how much he misses the shower. Now, he truly wonders just how fucking long was he stuck in that place?

And if it's possible for him to leave on his own, or does he have to die each time he wants to leave?

Those kinds of thoughts went through his mind as he finished showering and dressed up.

Then, he went into the living room and turned on the TV.

Just like last time, the morning shows were something he did not miss.

Instead, he pulled out his phone. He realised that the phone's function to pop out anywhere works outside of The Dungeon too.

The first thing he did was check the R.O.B's app.

And just like last time, the lottery wheel option was blinking, indicating that he can use it once more.

So, he pressed on it, again, just like last time, he saw the same notification…

Without bothering much with it, he pressed [OK], and now, he was able to check the lottery function in more detail.

The most obvious change was that the Legendary rank was not there, the highest rank he could get was the Epic Royal Purple rank.

And there were only three things from the epic category, eight in the blue category, 32 in the green one, and the rest in white.

Still, free stuff is free stuff, he can't complain much…

After he stopped thinking about this, Alex pressed on the spin button and waited for the wheel to stop.

Soon enough, it stopped on a white one…

A groan escaped from Alex's mouth as he saw what kind of card he got.

'Well, at least it's bigger than a box…'

After that disappeared, he saw that he had four more spins,

'Wait a sec… the loot!'

Alex quickly left the lottery wheel window, went back to the main menu, and checked the inventory.

A smile appeared on his face as he saw the inventory.

He pressed on the first item.

'So, white is classified as common, then the green ones are uncommon, and the blue ones are rare?'

Finally, after understanding the colouring, he looked at the other items.

Next to the pelt was something similar to a fang in a white background.

He then checks another item.

This time it was a black pelt with a green background.

Next to this pelt, there was a fang in a green background, he already knew what it was without even checking it.

Instead, he looked at the two last items, the first one was a white ticket,

Alex was interrupted out of his musing though as the voice of Julis rang.

"I was thinking, after checking your stats, and doing some simple maths, you have been away for several months to a year." Alex's eyes widened hearing what Julis had just said.

"That is if the stat growth was similar to yesterdays, plus you got two new skills now too…" Julis said after thinking for a bit.

'Up to a year… Damn, my growth is insanely slow compared to Bell's…'

Alex compared himself to the rabbit kid from the light novel for a second.

'Guess, that single skill makes such a massive difference.'

"I got some lottery tickets and some loot from the wolves."

For now, he decided to just forget about that. Most of the time he'd spent there was to improve himself, get used to fighting, and training in general, not about improving his stats.

Besides he knows that manifesting skill or spell on its own was very difficult, most people get those from levelling up it was not manifested. But he got a spell, and three skills!

"I see, let's talk about that later. I got breakfast!" Julis walked over and brought some sandwiches, this time she has put something different in them.

Alex just smiled seeing her walk over, he is not going to lie, seeing Julis make food for him is one of the best things that has happened so far to him.

"Interesting…"

"Nope, I am not telling you what I put in them!" The pink head said with a huff trying to hide her blush as she sensed an increase in her connection to him.

"Well, there is only one way to find out." He grabbed the first one and started to eat.

The Princess just observed him with a curious look.

She wants to see his reaction to this new combination, the girl hasn't taste tested it yet.

Julis got inspired by Alex, as she remembered him mentioning that he did experimentation before with food.

"Hmm, this is good, you should try mayo next, it will be perfect," Alex said after finishing the sandwich.

The pinkhead just stared at him with a deadpan look…

He finished the whole thing in two bites!

"..."

"..."

"What? I was starving!" He defended himself and his actions.

"Besides, I think my metabolism increased after all that electrical stuff happened." He then quickly finished the other one.

Julis blinked for a second, her brain caught up to what he just said.

"I see… I will try mayo next time then…" She softly said as she put a mental note to include Alex's increased metabolism in her future cooking.

Sona, alongside her Queen, Tsubaki, was waiting outside the main gate. As the Student Council President, it's her job to make sure that everyone is in their classes before the bell rings.

If not, then, that student will be getting a first-class ticket to her office or the faculty office, there is always some work to be done in the school and free labour is always welcomed.

That's why not many dare to be late. Still, there were a few exemptions to that of course…

As she was waiting and making sure everyone had their uniform properly on, she noticed them.

The transfer students… Sona's eyes narrowed for a second, she remembered yesterday's chess match, she replayed it in her head countless times.

She eventually realised why she lost, and it was quite a simple thing, she lost because she was too caught up with her plan, without realising that her opponent had his own plan in play too!

And so, Sona was practically thinking of stalking him and waiting for the opportunity to play chess again, and get her rematch!

But then, she noticed something was off about him…

From his walking to his aura, she could feel some static electricity washing her up.

'His magic has changed!? Did his Sacred Gear change his natural magic? I have never heard of such a gear!' The Sitri Heiress frowned as she observed him from a distance.

'The only gear which comes close to this is Zenith Tempest, but that was not set to just one element…'

Sona then tried to recall any known lightning-based Sacred Gear, but it was nothing like her senses had told about the transfer student.

It feels more natural, and mixed with mana, instead of being created by mana…

"Good morning, Shitori-Kaichou."

Alex snapped Sona out of her thinking, the Student Council President fixed her glasses before looking at the new additions to Kuoh Academy.

"Good morning Komnenos-san, Riessfeld-san." The Sitri Heiress saw the flinch coming from Alex when she mentioned his surname, while his girlfriend was just looking neutrally at her.

His behaviour with that was something she will investigate as well, maybe it will help with her getting him to join her peerage.

"You look tired Komnenos-san, is everything alright?" Sona curiously asked him.

"Yes, I trained a little bit too much yesterday," Alex said while scratching the back of his head.

While Julis was giving him a deadpan look, if only Sona knew how 'little' it truly is…

The Sitri heiress raised her eyebrow at that, she then looked at the pink head next to him who had bags under her eyes, while Julis tried to hide it with some light makeup, Sona can easily see through that, her glasses were special after all.

It wasn't hard for the Devil Heiress to come to a conclusion, she (mis)understood what was happening...

"I know you two are young, but at least finish high school first…" She said in a very serious tone.

It only took a couple of moments for Alex to understand what Sona had meant, while it took a few extra moments for Julis.

"W-What are you talking about!? We have not done any of t-that!" The Pink Princess' tsun-tsun tendencies manifested with her shutter.

Julis reaction only solidified what Sona was thinking.

"It's not my place to question what you two do after classes… Now please get inside, classes are about to start." The Sitri Heiress motioned for them to enter.

The pink head still wanted to clarify the situation, but Alex just grabbed her hand and pulled her in…

"Teenagers these days…" Sona softly mutters under her breath, while Tsubaki next to her wanted to mention that she was one too, but decided to hold her tongue.
