Training The Squires (1)

Seeing Ekansh act like this the squires looked at the Knight Captain thinking that he was playing with the second master but the Knight Captain tells the squires to obey all the things which the second master tells them through the hand signs. Getting the order of Knight-Captain all the squires starts to obey me.

"I call one of the squires who looks like a thin matchstick and if a strong wind is blowing he might fly with the wind and asks him for how long can you run continues? " asked Ekansh.

" Second master, I can run 3 hours continuously around this ground" replied the squire.

" And how much time can you spar wearing all armor, shield, and sword?" I asked another squire.

" We can spar for 30 minutes wearing armor, Shield, and sword," said the squire.

" You can spar means you have not battled wearing armor, Shields, and sword," I asked all of them.

" No, we have clashed with each other using wooden armor, Shield, and sword " they replied.

Metal armors, Shields, and swords can't be used because they get chipped and damaged during the fight so wooden one is used for training purpose, but the feel of metal equipment and the wooden training equipment is not the same, by training with wooden equipment most of them get used to it and they feel some discomfort using the metal equipment at starting when they get their first equipment. That is why I ordered them to conduct a monthly tournament where they will fight wearing the metallic equipment.

" Again, I call one of them and ask is fighting only the job of a squire?" Ekansh questioned.

The squire comes forward and replies" the job of squire is to

1) Carrying the knight's armor, shield, sword.

2) Holding any prisoners the knight takes.

3 ) Ensuring an honorable burial of the knight in the event of his death.

4 ) Replacing the knight's sword if it were broken or dropped.

5 ) Replacing the knight's horse or his horse, if either be injured or killed.

6 ) Dressing the knight in his armor.

7 ) Carrying the knight's flag.

8 ) Protecting the knight if needed.

9 ) Taking care of the knight's horses.

10 ) Accompanying the knight to tournaments and during the time of war to the battlefield.

11 ) Ensuring the armor and weapons of the knight were in good order. "

" Well you have given the correct answer" I count the number of tasks said by the squire like how children count 1, 2, 3 to make them realize that the number of tasks is not small it is over 2 digits, you may think that they are squire so they can do it easily but all the squires are just teenager as they are the next generation Knights, all the squires are below the age of twenty, if the squire at the age of twenty or below achieves 4th level Green Knight then that squire is dubbed as Knight and if the squire does not achieve the 4th level Green Knight at the age of twenty they are transferred to the Army as soldiers. Squires are all just more talented teenagers and more powerful than other teenagers but still, they are hot-headed teenagers who don't want to do the chores of the Knights, they want to fight with the monsters make a name for themselves for that reason they train themselves in martial skills but they forgot to train their stamina and endurance if not mentioned by the Knight.

A squire swiftly replies that "there are a total of 11 tasks second master".

I ask him " can you do all the 11 tasks without getting tired".

"Yes, I can do all the 11 tasks without getting tired" he replied.

I call one of the squires and tell him to bring the flag of the Silver Wolf Knight division he bought a flag with pitch-black background with Silver Wolf leaping at its prey.

I call the squire and tell him to hold the flag and march till you are told to stop. He takes the flag and starts to March holding the flag, after 45 minutes the flag slightly starts to tilt sideways seeing this Knight-Captain scolds the squire to hold the flag properly I interject the scolding and call the squire and tell him "see you got tired of holding the flag, in ceremonies and parade the job of holding the flag is meant as an honor to that person. You have to hold the flag straight from the start to end of the ceremonies and parade and you know that ceremony and parade last more than one hour so how are you going to do the job of standard-bearer ( flag bearer ). "

"If I tell you to perform the martial skills you can do them flawlessly but if I tell you to do the job of labor or the job which requires endurance you won't be able to do it because you have not trained much in endurance you just trained enough for maintaining your health and martial skills," said Ekansh.
