Chapter 8 - Finally The Cave!

"You like diamonds right? Go fly right above and find a cave! I will follow you from below."

Hora started to fly, "Tch! This is the only time I will help you. Be thankful."

"Come on, Go ahead."

When Hora already high in the sky, Drake decided to jump down to run, he didn't notice a small beast coming into him.

"Kiiiikkk kik kikkk!" It screamed, startling Drake.

A bunny-like small creature with red eyes. Definitely not a little girl's favorite.

Looking at the ugly bunny, Drake said, "Hmmm… you must be from that group of monsters before."

Drake thought this little monstrous bunny was coming late, so the poison didn't work for it.

Sensing Drake as a threat, that small creature thickened its cheeks, ready to blow out something.

It had to be one of the fireballs, because what came out was a hot purple steam, but no fire at all. After all, the bunny was still a weak little monster.

Relieved to know this little beast was a frail one, Drake finally decided to use that creature. No one knew the forest so well like the monster itself.

Having his knife ready, he took one of the big monsters nearby, and stabbed it into the heart.

Witnessing how the adult beast was easily killed, that little creature was ready to bolt. But only a step further, Drake grabbed its neck.

"If you didn't want to end up like that, then you better tell me where's the treasure cave!" Drake said, with his intimidated aura. "And also you better lead me to a safer way. Out of sight from other monsters!"

That little bunny was, of course, scared of him. Its nerves were at breaking point. No other way than showing this man how to go there.

Seconds later, Hora finally flew down. He said to Drake, "I've found the cave, but this forest is so shady. I can't see from above the right and safest way to go there."

Right. This forest was so cursed. This must be why people died just for nothing in here. Though they knew where the cave was, there's no way a normal person could reach there.

Well, Drake was not a normal person anyways.

"Don't worry. We have this little monster. He will lead the perfect route to go there." Drake said, grabbing that rabbit's ear, "Right, bunny?"

The bunny could only nod. It had to find a way to survive.

The five minutes were almost up. Not wanting to re-counter these sleeping monsters, Drake moved his feet.

When he ran fast enough, He didn't meet any of the other monsters around. The bunny really led the way right.

"Drake," a serious tone was coming from his little dragon.

He then took a pause on his step to hear what Hora was going to say. "Listen, I can't protect you from monsters if you use that green gas. It will affect me as well."

"You mean you are also going to sleep ?"

"Monster is a creature from the underworld. And me, I am a creature from heaven. We're basically a spirit creature. It's a long story why monsters can live with humans. I just want you to tell me if you are going to use that poison."

After thinking deeply, Drake nodded. "Alright."

They continue their run. No more than an hour later, Drake arrived at the cave.

It was an old isolated cave with huge trees covering around it.

With the roots of the big tree hanging long draping it, they just like the forest was hiding this place on purpose so no one could find it.

Drake was wondering how Hora could find this cave. He must use his ability somehow.

As some minutes passed, Hora started to show his concern. "Drake, there are a lot of monsters inside and around us. I couldn't possibly fight them all."

Drake was also sensing a lot of creatures inside. If Hora used his ability right now, it could only create more ruckus and invite the other monster around.

It will not be safe if monsters keep coming from every corner. But why, the monster right now didn't start to attack him. They looked like they were waiting for something.

Having no time to think, Drake then decided to use his poison. "Hora, you have to hide in your dimension. I'm going to use the green poison. Nothing works better than a sleeping drugs."

Hora finally nodded. "I will come out after you finish using the poison." He then disappeared in no time.

Now, Drake was finally alone again. Only with the little bunny monster.

First, He needed to make sure all of the beasts were coming out. Then he could use the poison at the right time so no one of them were left behind.

This would be dangerous, but no other way around. Right now, one of the possible things he could think of was to confront the monster to make them come out from that cave.

Taking out a large stone, he threw it to the cave.

A roar finally erupted from the Inside. Hiding from the back of the tree, Drake saw many of them come out, those monsters. The number of them was a lot more than before. They lurked around the area to find the invader.

But before Drake was found, he threw a stone one last time, so they followed the sound.

Only after that, Drake could finally throw two bottles of the poison, and cover the nose of a little creature he held. He still needed the bunny anyway.

Passing the sleeping beasts, Drake quickly entered the cave with caution. It was dark.

Following the way, a glimpse of something sparkling got his attention.

Then he finally saw. An enormous amount of crystal, gold, coins, and more of the treasure.

"Ha! It was finally real!' He laughed.

Though the pathway lead inside the cave was dark and had no light, the inside of the cave was surprisingly bright.

Not wasting more of the time, he called his spirit guide again. "Hora!"

Hora appeared in the same way as before. By a form of bright whirl of fire, that finlay turned into him.

"Wow, you are somehow smart. Finally avoid the danger." Hearing his spirit guides praising him, Drake put a smirk on his face.

"Well, let's search for the dragon tears. But, How long does it take to take all of these?" He was going to take all of these treasures. But time is what's important right now. Though there's still seven poison left, he should use it right.

Hora found this person's question ridiculous. "I'm going to take back what I just said. You're still a fool. Drake, do you think I ever take anything from the human world? After I told you I never once came to visit this world? How could I know? I've never tried...wait… is that sparkling little thing a diamond?"

Getting near that stack of treasure, Hora said excitedly, "Oh my! Look how cute that is. A little sparkling stone.."

"Let's put those things aside, will ya. Where's the dragon's tears?"

As Hora used his sense, Drake could see the bright red energy around that creature.

He then followed Hora to go near one kind of altar, which had a golden box on it. But what he found interesting was the monster bunny creature he held from before, hadn't put a fight once in his arm. As long as it made things easier for Drake, he didn't mind it.

When hora opened that box, the glistering red blood stone was beautifully placed on it. It was the size of a fist.

"Is this the right dragon tears?" Drake asked.

Hora was sure this stone was a dragon's tears. The energy that came out from it somehow could connect with him very well. "Yes, this is surely what we're looking for."

Finally finding the dragon's tears, Drake took the stone and examined it. It sure had a strange energy around it. "Keep this, Hora."

"Oh, you never say please don't, you!" Hora with his rambling, finally kept the dragon's tears with him. The red energy came from him, then covering the stone, eating it.

Drake was surprised how easily things from the human world disappeared like that. "Did you just eat that with your energy?"

"Why? Is it a problem for you?"

"Since you like those things very much, what don't you eat them?" There's no time for admiration. "Collect all of that as much as you can. We have no time."

So the diamonds, and other treasure was taken by Hora happily. He store it somewhere inside his world dimension . Even just for minutes, the amount of treasure Drake could get was plentiful.

Noticing a sword near the stack, Drake took it for a better view. It was gorgeous. Beautiful craving with strong steel. "What a great sword."

"That was a legendary soul sword." Hora said, while eating the treasure.

Admiring the swords once more, Drake said, "What do you mean by that?"

"That sword would enhance the owner's mana by infinite. But if he's weakling, his energy would be absorbed by that. By how long it had been created, countless souls were dead trying to master it."

"Hmm…" the sword was indeed a treasure. But if he forced himself to use it, he'd also become one of those many who lost their life.
