Chapter 12 : Aftermath

I woke up to the soft glow of morning light, my body aching and my mind foggy. The memories of the previous night came flooding back, and I felt a wave of shame and guilt wash over me. I had tried to fight him off, but Namjoon had taken what he wanted, and I had felt a spark of pleasure in the midst of the pain.

As I sat up, Namjoon stirred beside me, his eyes opening. He looked at me with a mixture of satisfaction and possessiveness. I felt a surge of anger and resentment towards him, but he just leaned in and pecked me on the cheek.

"Good morning," he whispered, his breath tickling my skin.

The peck on the cheek was a gentle, almost tender gesture, one that belied the force and possessiveness Namjoon had displayed the night before. It was as if he was trying to claim me, to mark me as his own, even in the midst of my anger and hurt.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as his lips brushed against my skin, leaving a faint trace of warmth. It was a conflicting sensation, one that made me feel both repelled and attracted to him at the same time.

As he pulled away and left the room, I was left to grapple with the tumultuous emotions inside me. The peck on the cheek lingered, a reminder of the complex web of feelings that bound me to Namjoon.

The maids entered the room soon after, carrying a tray of breakfast and a gentle smile. "Miss, would you like some breakfast?" one of them asked, her voice soft.

I shook my head, my throat constricted. I couldn't eat, not after what had happened.

The maids nodded understandingly and began cleaning up the room, including the bloodstained sheets. I watched them, feeling a sense of detachment, like I was observing the scene from outside my body.

As they finished and left, I was alone again, my thoughts consumed by the previous night's events. I knew I had to find a way to escape, to get away from Namjoon and his possessive grasp. But for now, I was trapped, a prisoner in his mansion, my body and heart still reeling from the aftermath.

And the conflicting emotions inside me, the shame and the guilt, the anger and the pleasure, all swirled together in a toxic mix, making me question my own sanity and my own desires.

I threw off the covers and got out of bed, my legs trembling beneath me. I stumbled to the bathroom, seeking solace in the familiar routine of washing my face and brushing my teeth. But even the cool water and minty toothpaste couldn't wash away the lingering sense of shame and confusion.

As I looked in the mirror, I barely recognized the girl staring back at me. Her eyes were sunken, her skin pale, and her expression haunted. I didn't know who she was anymore, or what she wanted. All I knew was that I had to escape, before Namjoon consumed me completely.

I took a deep breath and began to pace around the room, trying to clear my head and think of a plan. But my mind was a jumble of emotions, and I couldn't focus. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of confusion, with no lifeline in sight.

As the minutes ticked by, I knew I had to keep moving. I couldn't stay in this room, trapped in my own thoughts, forever. I had to find a way out, no matter what it took. And so, with a newfound determination, I began to search the room for any clue, any hint of a way to escape.

I began to search the room, my eyes scanning every inch of the walls, the floor, the furniture. I was looking for anything that could help me escape - a key, a lockpick, a hidden door. But the room was spotless, and I found nothing.

Just as I was about to give up, I noticed a small crack in the wall. It was tiny, but it looked like it might be just big enough for me to squeeze through. I ran over to the wall and examined the crack more closely. It was a bit of a stretch, but I thought I could make it.

I took a deep breath and began to squeeze through the crack. It was a tight fit, and I had to push and pull myself through. But finally, I made it to the other side.

I found myself in a long, dark hallway. I could hear the sound of footsteps echoing through the hall, and I knew I had to move fast. I started to run, my heart pounding in my chest.

As I ran, the hallway began to slope downward. I was heading deeper into the mansion, and I had no idea where I was going. But I kept running, my legs pumping as fast as they could.

Suddenly, the hallway opened up into a large underground chamber. I saw a glimmer of light in the distance and made my way towards it. As I got closer, I realized it was a door - a door that led outside.

I pushed the door open and found myself in a beautiful garden. The sun was shining, and the flowers were blooming. I took a deep breath of fresh air and knew I had finally escaped.

But as I turned to leave, I heard a voice behind me. "You can't escape me that easily," Namjoon said, his eyes gleaming with anger.

And with that, he lunged at me, his hands grasping for me like claws. I knew I had to keep running if I wanted to stay alive.
