"Enough! I can not more," Ron stopped and was wheezing hard as he was forfeiting his breath. Lenna veered around to knowledge if they are far adequately from the store. She was also gasping as she was also failing her breath.
"Ok, we are far enough. We can take, a minute rest here," in view of the fact that Lenna was also wheezing, so her utterances and voice was not clear. Later, they settled on the ground. Lenna was putting on the shoes. Ron saw it, and while gasping spoke,
"You just... you just embezzle a pair of sneakers."
They settled there for a minute, and then Lenna spoke,
"It's ok. I will pay after. If you are fine now, shall we."
"Yes," Ron nodded and they stood up.
"How far is it?" Lenna peeping around, inquired.
"We almost have reached. Just five minutes." There was a gauche quietness for a minute while they were ambling.
"I didn't know that you could steal something. From a shop, in the daylight," Ron voiced in disbelief.
"Even I didn't know that I would steal something one day." Lenna smiled.
"Ahh! we have surpassed. That next street...," said Ron, and they ran. As they were taking steps, their heart was thudding in their chest. They were hoping that nothing bad had happened to Felsen, and to anyone.
"What happened here sir, and where is Felsen?" Ron questioned one of the cops.
"May I know who are you?" the cop asked with narrowed eyes.
"I am Ron Felsen's neighbor and friend," Ron babbled.
"Ron," his mom and dad called him from a bit far.
"Mom,!dad! thank God you guys are fine. I have heard on the radio about that blue light," Ron talked with heavy breath.
"Yes son, and it fell on Mr. Strew's house, and they..."
Ron's mom was upset because Mrs. Strew was such a nice neighbor and they were good friends.
"Don't cry. Handle yourself," Ron's dad put his arm around his mother's shoulder and spoke in saddened.
"There is no doubt that Mr. and Mrs. Strew were decent people," Ron's dad added.
Ron was broken and Lenna was also feeling bad.
"Sir, where is Felsen?" Lenna went to one of the cops and inquired.
"Felsen, who is he?" the cop questioned with a pondering face.
"Felsen is.... their son!" Lenna while looking at the dead bodies, spoke saddened.
"Their son!" the cop got surprised. "Could you tell me where he was when all this ensued?"
"He was here. Yes, I was on the phone with him and it was nine in the morning," Ron spoke.
"Can you tell me more?" The cop frowned.
"He said he is coming cut the call and then we ended up," in a hope that they will find him soon, Ron notifies everything he knew without wasting a minute.
"What was his name, again?"
"Felsen."
"Felsen!" the cop whispered his name with a nod. "He is not here. If he was here and he said that he is coming it means he was not in the house and he is alive, yet, where is he?" Cop with fully concentrated eyes said while gazing around.
"Hello, yes sir, it's me. Sir, we have just found out that one person is omitting. He is a boy, and... he is the son of that old couple who died in the incident," the cop reported to his sir through his phone.
"Are you certain, cop?" their senior questioned.
"Yes sir, I am certain. His pals informed me. They are here in front."
"Ok, find that boy, and continue asking their friend about him."
"Ok, Sir."
"What ensued? Where is Felsen?" Lenna begged after the cop cut the call.
"We don't know but... we will find him. Don't worry."
Ron hearing this broke down and couldn't control his tears.
"Ron..." Ron's mom called him when saw him walking away but his dad quit his mom by saying,
"Let's him, because he has lost his friend, and his friend's parents are no more now."
Ron taking small steady steps went to the near park and settled on the bench. Lenna also pursued him and sat beside him. Seeing him sobbing, Lenna felt bad and caressed his shoulder.
"We...we...we were friends since high school. I don't know where he is now. If he is alive or not, and his mom and dad are no more now. I don't know if he knows about them or not. He was so delighted that you gifted him that tie, and he was too keen to join the ball," Lenna, when made an effort to comfort him by chafing his shoulder, he let out all the emotions out of his chest.
"I don't know, if, I will see him again ever," Ron said while weeping.
"Shh! Ron, Please don't say this. Yes, he is missing, but who knows where is he? He might be alive. I know it is strange that Felsen was there at that time, and he is now nowhere. He is lost but... thinks positively. We must be positive."
"This is the park we often play after school when we were kids. He always catches me when we play around. That time was so adequate. We didn't know about anything that we will have to face this kind of day, too. I am missing him so much. We did not Knowledge about anything that would bother us. Mr. and Mrs. Strew... they were good people. My mom and dad had to leave me at the home when I was small because they had some important work So, they handed me to them. They always look after me as I am their kid." Ron remembers all the good things from his childhood.
After, Lenna also recollected all the moments when she catches Felsen stealing a glance at him.
"I always felt decent when I catch him looking at me. I didn't know that he loves me but until he said that day. I also didn't know who Felsen is. But after that, I started feeling butterflies whenever I look at him.
I thought about what happened at the school ball last year. It is fine to surprise him with this ball and to start a new journey.
I was also so eager to see him in this ball. I hope he is fine wherever he is?" same like Ron Lenna also let out every emotion out of her chest.
"Are you crying?" Ron while looking at her spoke in a low voice. Lenna, when Ron said those words, wiped her tears quickly and smiled.
