Chapter 7

Ahead of him stood 5 men, each in leather armour and looking more cocky than the last with there leader being a rather large figure holding a nasty looking blood and rusty sword.

"Stop right there! Theres a toll to use this road my friend, so giv-" The leader began before being but was cut off, his words now turning to a gurgling noise as Crimson pierced his throat, stumbling back he tried to stop the bleeding only managing a gurgling noise before falling flat, dead but quickly joined by his companions.

After the initial strike Jace didn't stay idle, he swung Crimson cutting open the neck of the person to the leaders right along with another stab to the one next to him impaling him through the heart, someone tried to attack from the left with a scream but he grabbed there wrist, a sickening crack was heard followed by a scream of pain as he dropped his dagger and gripped his broken wrist but Jace didn't relent, he gripped there head in his hand and crushed it like a overly ripe melon, the final one having events catch up to him pissed himself and tried to run, he thought he had a chance to escape and even thought Jace was showing mercy, but those thoughts where soon proven wrong, a sharp pain was felt in his back as he was forced forward and fell to the ground, the life leaving him moments later without truly realizing what had happened, Crimson sticking through him from behind pinning him to the ground.

"Ugh, next time please don't use my to do something so disgusting, I can practically feel the brain matter covering my sensitive circuits. Just use that piece overly decorated steel to kill things next time." Vail complained, visibly annoyed and still angry at Jace for using her to pop a person's head.

Rolling his eyes he just ignored her as he made his way over to collect Crimson finding the body had now turned into a dried-out corpse.

"Yes! This is what I want! Well, the quality wasn't the best its still not to bad for a first drink, hey you glorified toaster, tell us where we can find more people to kill or even decent beasts! I thirst for more and my wielder actually seems half decent, even if they did use me like a spear, but it was admittedly a nice change to be able to fly again." Crimson said, there words explaining what had happened to the corpse as he pulled it out and put it back at his side.

"Oh wow, the hunk of rust thinks it can order me around, cute, I may be glad you gave me the chance to feel, but I don't answer to you or need to listen to you, I am forced to listen to this jelly sack I'm stuck with and well he is far from the best I can still say he would be better than a vampiric piece of scrap metal past there prime." Vail replied back with so much snark even Jace couldn't help but smirk before ordering her to find a manageable but valuable beast den that would also be close to a town or city, they could sell it to receiving a huff form in response before the directions visibly showed up infront of him.

"Now that's what I'm talking about! Now just be a good little defective rejected parasite and listen to your betters, I'm looking forward to tasting these beasts so rest me in their blood when your done killing so I can feast my host! And as for you, care to share what you know about the beasts were heading for toaster queen?" Crimson couldn't help but fire back, oddly Jace could picture it drooling at the thought of getting more blood well he looted whatever he could from the bodies of the bandits.
