First meeting

Sometime later, in his dorm, Matthew sits in a chair by a desk with a phone on it. With the receiver in hand he dials a few numbers. “Hi mom.” he says when it’s picked up “Oh hi Matthew, you caught me at a good time, I just got back from bowling.” Matthew smiled. It was good to hear her voice. “How did you do?” he asked “Not bad, but how are you? How is this training academy? I hope it’s worth uprooting everything.” she said “I know you don’t understand this decision but trust me, it’s what I have to do right now.” “Well, please, take care of yourself. I don’t want you getting injured anymore.” “I will, I’ll talk to you later mom.” I’m just going to acquaint myself with the other trainees.” he says “Ok, take care.” Matthew hangs up, he still has a light smile that poorly hides a worried face.
