Tripped

Breathing sharply, Song Yuna had to gather her peace of mind that night. There were palace maids who escorted her to a room, and when she arrived, everything looked decent. She had to take several deep breaths to calm herself from the earlier's event.

Thinking about it clearly, she must have been out of her mind to do that. As Yuna looked at her right hand, trembling, she found herself lucky that she won over the king to do what she wanted. Even if the king did not insist, she had no choice but to summon the white tiger. She had to do it because she wanted to go back to Earth.

The room was not that cold. Well, of course, it seemed like the whole kingdom was suffering from drought. It was summer at that time. Yuna became confused as it seemed like she entered a parallel world that was somehow related to her world but foreign at the same time.

There was a sense of familiarity in the room, and as she gazed at the four corners of the wall, Yuna's heart fell at ease. The pretty patterns of flowers that acted as the design of the room made her smile.

A gold plateau with a tiger's face was in the middle of the room. The tiger was bearing its teeth as if it was ready to fight every man who dared to lock gazes with it. Suddenly, Yuna could hear a commotion at the door.

Everything was made up of wood and a paper-like texture. Yuna approached by the door and asked, "What's the commotion?"

"Young sir, I think I think the priestess wanted to rest now," Yuna could hear the palace maid reprimanding someone. "Young sir, you can visit her tomorrow."

"Open the doors for me," A familiar husky voice spoke. "Or else I will blow everything with my fist."

"Min, is that you?" Yuna asked.

"H-high priestess!" Instead of a man answering her, the palace maid responded. "Priestess, the celestial warrior who goes by the name Min wanted to talk and seek audience with you."

Yuna immediately ran into the middle of the room and sat on the floor. She cleared her throat and said, "Let him in."

"Yes,"

After a few moments of silence, the door flew open, and Min entered the room. The palace maid kept her head low as she closed the door for them to have some privacy.

"Lady Yuna," Min called Yuna's name filled with worry and contempt as he sat across her with his legs below his thighs. "You should have not done that for my mom. The king is known for being cynical, he does not believe in actions out of gratitude. You could have lost your life in the proccess!"

"I know that you were just worried for me, and that made me happy," Yuna sighed, and her lips formed a weak smile. "But I think I played it right. If what you said was true, then I think I managed to grab the king's trust. I am seen to be following his orders because I asked for something in exchange."

"That is right," Min blinked his eyes twice as his left hand grabbed his right wrist. "But I am actually worried that the king might use my family to get a hold of you. As he said, it has already become your weakness and my weakness as well." There was a hint of sadness in his voice, "The king is a cunning man."

"Yes, but I would rather worry about that when it comes," Yuna started scratching her back, and somehow, it ruined the warm atmosphere that was already created between them. "Urgh, at least your mom would be safe from her illness and would be taken into priority as of now."

"Thanks, Lady Yuna," Min replied.

There was a silence.

Yuna felt weird. There was this strange itchiness she was feeling coming from her back. She bent her arms and scratched her back, but it did not feel enough with her clothes on her back. She wanted to rub her bare skin and relieve the itchiness she was feeling.

"Lady, are you okay?" Min asked. His eyes expressed worries yet again. Yuna realized that she did not really even know Min for the longest time, but it seemed like he genuinely cared for her.

"I a-am o-okay," Yuna replied. "I just feel a little bit itchy, that is all." Yuna started to take off her outer jacket (jeogori) and started scratching her back like no other. She grimaced as her facial muscles was used all over that one would think she drank something sour. "It was just that it has been a while since I used this."

Her eyes darted over Min, who seemed to be avoiding his gaze on her. She lowered her gaze and looked at her body. She was still wearing clothes, and if she were to describe her inner garments, it would look like a tube dress.

Except that the skirt was flowy instead of it hugging her curves.

"You do not have to act so shy, Min," Yuna said as she continued to scratch the back of her skin using her fingernails. "It is not like I am naked in front of you."

"Lady," Min cleared his throat, and his eyes battled to look in Yuna's direction. "A young lady like you should not act that rash! You are showing your undergarments to a grown man!"

Song Yuna just rolled her eyes and started scratching her shoulders. For some reason, she felt like she would die if she won't rub it. When she met her gaze with Min, she just looked at him intently.

Satisfied, Yuna let out a soft moan.

Silence filled the room.

As Yuna bent down to get her jeogori, she stepped on the tip of her skirt and tripped.

"Lady," Min yelled as he approached Yuna lying down; her face was facing the floor. "Are you okay?!"

The door burst open. Yuna was greeted with one palace maid and two guards assigned in her room. They exclaimed, "High Priestess!"
