Chptr 44 Godfather

In the most luxurious villa in the city owned by the richest family in the country, various luxurious cars entered its vicinity as dazzling women and gorgeous men got out of those cars. Everyone whose able to enter the villa were all part of the higher society with a net worth income of seven numbers and above.

Entering the villa with his pickup car, Ajy got a lot of reactions, some were disdainful of him, others ridiculed him, there were those who totally ignored him while a few nodded and smiled at him. For him, those who gave him negative vibes weren't worthy of his attention while those few who smiled and nodded at him were worth befriending for. Mr. Mo and the woman named Deb whom he happened to met a while ago were included to those few who smiled at him in which he never expected to see them in this birthday banquet, "Mr. Mo and madam, I never expected to meet the two of you here."

But before he could reply, contemptuous outbursts were heard all over the place.

"Hmmph! A country bumpkin isn't allowed to this kind of birthday banquet," Mr. Tang who was with the wife of Mr. Mo sarcastically mentioned full of disdain. Despite knowing that Ajy was a part of the Maharlika Corporation, Mr. Tang still looked down on him since he was only a manager there. He wasn't worth anything especially since he believed that Ajy could never retaliate against him.

Attorney Mo never said anything as she went towards Mr. Mo but the disdain and ridicule could be seen in her face. What she never expected was the irritation shown by her husband when she went beside him. She was wondering why.

"Right! A bumpkin with a pickup car and semi-formal wear arriving with a paper bag!"

"A snail leeching of a family of swan."

"The security of the villa won't let him inside since he looked like he doesn't even have the invitation card."

Looking at the crowd with disdainful eyes, he casually poked his right ear using his index finger, "Lots of bugs shitting in my ears!"

This statement of his angered the crowd especially seeing his poker face. Without caring about them, Ajy then strode forward as he smoothly entered the palace without being hindered by the guards. Of course, as a man who was a part of the Maharlika Corporation, and having a high status in the company, the guards immediately recognized him and let him in, not even asking for the invitation card.

"How could this be possible?"

"This? The guards didn't even stop him?"

"Anyone knew the identity of that young man?"

"He's only a manager of the Maharlika Corporation thus he could be given access without invitation, but he's not worthy of being a part of us," Mr. Tang answered with ridicule. The others agreed with him and disdain could also be seen from their expressions. They gradually entered and told each others not to get entangled with him.

Inside the villa, various guests were holding their well-packaged presents with them. Some had even made the package looked like superheroes or cartoon characters. And as Ajy listened to their conversation, all of them were bragging about the price of their presents or what their presents were. And when these people saw him, they wore disdainful faces.

Scanning around, Ajy spotted familiar faces like the Goldwyn family, his in game buddy Drac, the guild leader and vice of the Wild One guild, some actors and actresses. He all looked towards those people he knew and courteously smiled and nodded at them except the Goldwyn family. Mira, who looked at how courteous Ajy was to the others, she felt bitter and hurt since he only spared her family a glance but didn't gave them curtesy.

When he spotted the table for the Maharlika Corporation executives, he instantly strode forward. But before he sat down, secretary Jazz asked him to follow her in which she led her to the corner of the stage that was temporarily made just for tonight's occasion. He was curious as to why Jazz led her on stage and wanted to ask her but she just gestured for him to wait.

While he was on stage, everyone's eyes were focused on him wandering why he was sent up the stage. A little later, three kids with same faces came out from backstage and upon seeing him, the three rushed towards him with excitement, "Godfather!"

"What!!!!???" Everyone from the audience, even the securities and all staffs wore incredulous faces as they never expected that the man who wore the cheapest clothing, who owned the cheapest car and holding a paper bag was actually the godfather of the triplets.

"This...." Secretary Jazz and everyone from Maharlika Corporation were all stunned.

But it wasn't just the audience, as Ajy himself couldn't fathom why the triplets called him godfather. He was racking his brains trying to find how he became the godfather of the three. Especially so that it was his first time seeing them. Despite that, he showed his sweetest smile as he carried the three, one was on his back, the other on his shoulder and the last one was on his arms.

"Ahem!" A petite lady with an innocent and angelic face caught everyone's attention as she was holding the mic. Everyone knew this lady including Ajy despite not meeting her personally, she was the heiress of the Maharlika Corporation, Theia Aragon. "Everyone, in behalf of the Aragon Family and Maharlika Corporation, I thank you all for sparing your time in attending my nephews' birthday party. You also might be wondering why my nephews called this man here as their godfather and even I had no idea why, so why not let me give the floor to my elder sister-in-law, Bea."

Everyone clapped their hands despite their questioning gazes. Since the Aragon family was an affluent family, everyone knew a thing or two about them. They all have heard that this family had a daughter-in-law but it was only this time that some of them would be able to meet her. Entering the stage, a gorgeous lady wearing a very elegant dress with a light make up on her face slowly walked towards Theia. Some men gulped at how beautiful she was no less than Theia who was also considered as the one of the belles in the country.

"What a beauty! If only I could have her."

"Stop your nonsense, else the Aragon family won't spare you!"

Closely looking at the woman who just entered, Ajy somehow felt like she was familiar but he couldn't remember when and where he met her.

Holding the mic, Bea looked at Ajy and smiled intimately as she then also gave the audience a smile, though an ordinary smile, just giving them face. She then closed her eyes as if she was reminiscing something, "May 13, 2051, I was pregnant when I boarded a bus from Sagada to Baguio. It was heavily raining that time when the bus I boarded went astray because of the mud that made the road so slippery, it fell of a cliff and only five out of twenty survived this tragic accident."

Upon hearing this, Ajy then remembered that he was never the godfather of the three. He never expected that the pregnant young lady that he saved back then would have a triplets.

Seven years ago, Ajy decided to go to the city to pursue his dream in culinary. And never had he imagined that his very first time in travelling out of his hometown, the bus he boarded fell of a cliff. He was one of the lucky survivor at that time including the pregnant lady, the driver and a teenage couple.

Having so many injuries in him, Ajy who grew up in a community that would always help one another without asking something in return, he slowly carried the passengers out of the bus, whether they were still breathing or not.

Passing by a pregnant young lady, he immediately took the passenger he was carrying out of the bus despite his injuries. He then went back and prioritized the pregnant young lady. The driver who was also injured steeled his will and helped Ajy. But before the driver helped, Ajy told him to call the emergency hotline.

It took them a lot of effort to let all passengers out of the bus especially some of them were tightly squeezed with each other, others were unconscious, some were dead and there were those who were so anguish because of the pain they were feeling, that a small movement would make them suffer more. The heavy rain also added some hindrances to them.

Once everyone were out, Ajy counted that there were eleven survivors out of the twenty, some of them were unconscious. He then told the driver to take care of them while he would go and find a shelter. The teenage boy caught his attention and told him that he kind of saw a cave not far from their position when Ajy carried him out of the bus. Immediately, Ajy and the driver took the passengers who were still breathing into the cave while the teenage boy helped his girl. It was a small cave that could only fit thirteen people.

As they were about to rest, Ajy noticed the pregnant young lady was bleeding below her waist, he quickly went beside her and noticed that she was having an enormous pain but the worry in her eyes could clearly be seen. He immediately rushed and carried her in his arms as he strolled out of the cave, he was going to go up the highway to stop any car from driving and let them rush her to the hospital.

The pregnant young lady suddenly cried that something's coming out of her. Panicked, Ajy has no idea what to do but the pregnant young lady grabbed his arm with pleading look in her eyes. He closed his eyes as he calmed himself, put her down despite the rain and immediately undressed her as he told her to let everything out.

Despite having a little idea when it comes to laboring, he allowed himself to be the doctor and operated on her laboring. Soon, the baby was out and he had no idea what to do with the umbilical cord. While he was thinking what to do with the umbilical cord, he heard the pregnant young lady that another one was coming out. Thankfully, he heard some shouting and he immediately called their attentions, they were the rescuers.

The rescuers who arrived with the paramedics immediately took over and instead let Ajy and the few remaining survivors immediately be sent to the nearby hospital. At the end of the day, Ajy heard the tragic news that the remaining survivors weren't able to make it and only five of them were successfully saved.
