The Awakening

After completing the breakfast, the group of 6 arrived in the training hall inside the Vantistart manor.

While it was odd to delay the awakening to enjoy a breakfast, it had been Dramon's idea so as to help Amden calm the raging nerves in such situations.

Awakening was a simple process. In this process one had to absorb the spiritual energy for the first time and circulate the spiritual energy inside the pathways and then collect in one mind's consciousness; where the spiritual energy is stored by a cultivator.

The measure of talent was the amount of spiritual energy the person absorbed in one go without taking a break from the spiritual energy circulation. Larger the amount of spiritual energy absorbed, greater was said to be the talent.

Ordinary people or commoners generally visited different organizations to get awakened. These organizations charged a hefty sum of money to assist in the awakening. This also served as source of manpower for them as they could recruit talented people into their organization.

And since the commoners were generally unaware of many things these predatory organizations were on the profitable end while signing the recruitment contract.

Under Dramon's lead the Vantistart family arrived in the hall. He gestured for Amden to sit cross legged.

"Grandfather, I don't want any outsider to witness my awakening," Amden said.

Amden's words caused a frown and confusion to appear on everyone's face. They assumed that it was nervousness of Amden. They thought that Amden was worried about embarrassment if his talent comes out to be mediocre.

Dramon did not question or object. He gave a single nod and every single person except these 6, the guards and servants of the family left the hall. With Dramon himself present there, it was impossible for anyone to spy or sneak even a little bit.

Amden sat cross legged on a square shaped stone which had been placed at the centre of the hall. It was as wide as to provide enough space for one person to sit comfortably.

Following this, Rexon took a glowing red crystal, the size of a football. This was a spiritual crystal- and not an ordinary spiritual crystal- a SSS Rank spiritual crystal. A SSS Rank spiritual crystal was extremely rare commodity and it always depended upon luck to mine these crystals. Even elite families would not willing to expend it other than when a family member would be advancing from SS Rank to SSS Rank.

Let alone, SSS Rank, even for direct descendants of elite families using SS Rank spiritual crystal would be considered extravagance.

Now, the rank of spiritual crystal used during awakening was a crucial factor. The higher grades of spiritual crystals contained more pure spiritual energy and in a dense form. Absorbing spiritual energy from such crystals was an easier task and more amount of spiritual energy could be absorbed.

Amden was surprised seeing the crystal. He was not surprised at the fact that his father was giving something like that to him but by the fact that his family possessed something that valuable.

Even before Rexon could place the crystal in Amden's hand, Amden shook his head in denial, " Father you should keep this crystal for yourself or for grandmother. This will raise your strength greatly. Even if I use SS spiritual energy crystal it won't make much difference."

Rexon paid no heed to Amden's words. According to him, he thought that Amden was unwilling to use the SSS Rank crystal because of its value. But for him Amden's awakening was more important than anything.

Seeing the reaction of his family Amden understood that he could not convince them without telling some truth.

He said, "Father for me this crystal is useless. One crystal is not enough for me. Anyhow I will have to absorb the SS ones. Keep it for yourself."

Hearing the words coming out from Amden's mouth, everyone was stunned.

Clara was the first to react, "Amden, do you understand what are you saying?"

"One SSS crystal is not sufficient," she repeated what Amden had said in almost a high tone. "Even for me… I am at peak SS Rank… absorbing SSS rank would take some time and you say its Spiritual energy would not be enough for you."

Amden sighed deeply. He knew explaining things was difficult.

He said as his eyes roamed at everyone in assurance, " Grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, Cilia just trust me."

Everyone looked at each other. They understood that Amden was not someone to do reckless things or to speak recklessly.

Rexon said, "Fine, we trust you."

At the moment, everyone was extremely excited. If what Amden said was really true then a never seen prodigy was going to walk in this world. They could now also make a guess why Amden wanted no one other than them to witness his awakening.

Amden had not informed about his requirement of a 'quite a few' SS Rank crystals because whatever these precious crystals his family had, they all carried it into their spatial rings.

Rexon produced 3 SS Rank crystals from his storage ring. Dramon, during his awakening had absorbed 2 SS Rank crystal and he was called a rare prodigy… a never seen genius. And was Amden really going to go over it?

Amden took one of crystals in hand and Dramon stood behind him to guide in his first circulation.

Amden then started circulating Universal Origin Scripture and the spiritual energy rushed inside his body. His body was like a dry well absorbing the spiritual energy like water. The first circulation was completed in moments.

Everyone's face widened in horror seeing the speed at which Amden was absorbing the spiritual energy. Amden absorbed the 1st SS rank crystal in just 2 hours. For Dramon, to do that he had taken 8 hours. Amden then picked up the next crystal. In another 3 hours he had absorbed the second one. This speed was insane. He then picked up the 3rd one.

After another 2 hours he had absorbed half the third crystal. Now blood had started to flow from his body cleaning all the impurities in his bodies. His element had not awakened yet.

The elements generally awakened when one reached their maximum capacity. Amden continued to absorb the spiritual energy.

After the 3rd crystal Dramon took out 4 SS crystals and placed near Amden. Amden continued for hours and had absorbed 5 crystals completely and was on his 6th crystal.

His body was covered in blood. The group of 6 was fearful and nervous. Amden had surpassed any previous known record by a great margin. All of them were now waiting for his elements to awaken.
