Rabbits

Ezra threw the dead body of another horned rabbit into the pile at the side. It had been three days since he started the experiment with Lucy, and so far, there was no luck.

He had tried forcefully injecting mana into their bodies, stimulating their mana cores to absorb more mana, injecting mana into their mana veins, and so much more.

But after multiple trials and errors, they had wasted over twenty rabbits with no results.

"Sigh, this is getting tiresome, but I think we are getting closer," Ezra said as he walked to the cages at the side of the room and pulled out another rabbit.

He had ensured to buy enough for their experiments after the first loss. He walked back to the table, dropped the rabbit, strapped it in, and turned to Lucy.

"What do you think we should do now?" he asked.

"I am not sure, but maybe the mana we produce is too concentrated for the rabbit," Lucy said.
