Day and Night

The fight had dragged on for too long now; the Eaters were able to overwhelm with their numbers.

Each person was fighting at least three Eaters. Ezra could barely concentrate as he tried to watch Lisa and ensure that she didn't get into trouble.

"I have no choice." Ezra summoned his three shadows: Riot, Void, and Fang, the latest addition. He had taken the time to name it.

"Riot, assist Lisa. The two of you focus on assisting who you can." Ezra gave the order and let them go.

With Riot watching Lisa, he could rest easy. He also didn't want to leave the others without any assistance, but his ability was limited, and Lisa took priority.

An Eater came charging at Ezra. He spun his scythe and slashed down at full speed. The scythe cut into the head of the Eater deeply, and purple blood sprayed in all directions.
