After a while, Allen woke up and the being left his mind. Seth told him about what had happened. Allen had a sad expression after hearing what had happened, and he apologized to the group for almost getting himself killed and letting that being take over.

The others waved it off and told him not to worry about any of that; it wasn't his fault. No one had expected that scorpion to still make it out after such a powerful attack.

Now that Allen was back, they could go ahead and plan their next steps. According to the map, the path they had to pass had a higher concentration of shadow energy, marked by darker ink. That simply meant there would be a ton of shadows as well. The route around was mountainous and filled with very strong shadows. Beyond the mountains on both sides, there was nothing else on the map.
