29 Absolute Submission

The only thing that seemed to resound in the whole Blood Woods was the sound of the slow steps of the Fire Earth commander, Godermo. He moved towards the broken crates full of white rice and other supplies, his dark eyes scanning the ground looking for the black snake.

"Come out!" he ordered.

He wasn't worried. He knew that the creature couldn't be that far away. The scattered crates and cart remnants occupied a very delimited zone in the battleground. Plus the snake was heavily injured and left behind itself a large blood trail.

What if it died? No chance either. Godermo wasn't stupid: he did attack the creature, but he didn't strike its more vital organs. The wound was serious, but it would not kill the serpent. Not very fast at least. He would have all the time in the world to stitch it up when he put his hand on it.

Maybe he could also use the fact that it was hurt to force it to reveal its cultivation technique in exchange for medical help!

"I said, come out!" he screamed again moving his large weapon on a piece of wood lying around, cutting it in two with minimal effort. Although he was screaming, aggressive on the outside, inside he was calm and contained. He knew what he was doing, striking fear in his enemy's heart by slowly making it panic. He wanted to leave the snake by itself that there wasn't any chance of survival, breaking his will even before he put his hand on it.

The commander moved with his leg another big chunk of wood, slowly moving in the direction where the blood track pointed to.

It was in this moment that a cold juvenile echoed inside the Fire Earth warrior. "Mph, simpleton" mockingly said the voice.

Godermo sensed a fast movement coming out from the east side of the rubble area. His eyes moved rapidly and easily found a bloody figure emerge from between the wooden parts of the wagons and the broken supply crates.

"Here you are" said calmly the warrior, preparing himself to capture the creature.

Naturally, the bloody figure was the wounded Darkscale! Although he was visibly in pain, the serpent didn't seem demoralized at all.

"You want vengeance for your family? I heard that before... and then I got a nice Blue Cave after that... I just wonder... What are you going to give me?" continued the vicious voice resounding right inside Goremo's head.

The raider looked confused for a moment when faced with such incredible self-confidence. His instincts told him that there was something wrong. The creature before him wasn't acting like a prey, it wasn't searching for ways to stay hidden. It wasn't even showing any sign of knowing that it was cornered or anything like that. No, there was a pride in those violet eyes that almost screamed to the world that it was the one winning.

Immediately, Godermo darted away, deciding to follow his instincts instead of his rationale. This wasn't the first time that he felt danger when his mind told him that everything was ok. He knew that it was always better to trust your gut feeling than to be sorry afterward.

"Too late" thought Darkscale, his violet eyes narrowing following the fleeing figure. Yes, it was too late. The serpent laughed, tapping with his bloody tail on the ground.

His eyes lighted up again with silver light, undulations spreading all around his body like an armor of silvery water. A low roar emerged from the reptile throat, as ghoulish and disturbing sounds became more and more strong as the silver light became more present in the area.

"Another One!"

The energy manifested around Darkscale suddenly exploded all around, burring itself on the dark earth. Immediately, countless of dark red runes hidden between the rubble started to shine with the perlaceous light.

Godermo face darkened: he suddenly realized why his enemy wasn't afraid at all! He had led him into a trap! He tried to flee from the zone as fast as he could, avoiding any of the silver chain of light that tried to touch his body.

"Humans are so stupid..." laughed Darkscale, looking at the raging man that was trying flee from countless of his spells. He was clearly using all his experience and strength to do so, but he still couldn't flee from the area of the runes. Why? Simply because there were too many of them, twisting in the dark sky and transforming the battlefield in some weird forest of silver tentacles.

However, even if the raider was trapped inside the area, but that didn't mean that he was without any hope. Godermo showed up all his might, dodging and defending against the binding spells with a prowess that left everyone who was assisting to the battle amazed.

Even after sever minutes none of the chains summoned by the runes weren't able to touch him. Darkscale was beginning to feel tired. The Slave Mark Seal Technique wasn't very demanding, being of a very low level, but he was maintaining it for a dozen of minutes already! His cultivation base was almost dried up at this point!

Thanks to the runes he didn't need to concentrate at all to use the countless spells, but he still needed to supply them with energy. He couldn't do it forever!

"What a fucking monster!" he thought looking at the Fire Earth Warrior speeding right and left, carefully avoiding his binding spells.

"That's not right! I need to do something!" the serpent started to panic. He had lost plenty of blood and was starting to feel pretty sleepy. It should not be forgotten that he was heavily wounded during this whole ordeal.

"I can only flee at this point... he must also be at his limit with all that jumping around" considered the snake. Yes, he could only flee in the surrounding forest and heal up his wounds.

Darkscale started eying the border of the forest, waiting for the moment that the Fire Earth chieftain was entrapped way far from him to put in motion his plan.

However, very suddenly something very weird happened: a green shadow abruptly flew toward the Fire Earth chieftain, that couldn't do anything to avoid it.

Darkscale looked at the lower arm of the raider, shocked when he saw a green arrow embedded in his skin. It didn't manage to penetrate much in his skin, but it managed to slow him down a bit. He almost got hit by one of the reptile's silver chains. " Dammit, that was close! more!" thought Darkscale.

Almost if the heavens were answering his prayer, the exact next moment countless of other green arrows started falling on the warrior, already in a hard place trapped in the forest of silver binding spells.

"Hahahaha great!"

Darkscale moved his gaze towards the direction from which the arrows came: he saw a green haired woman, enveloped in a strang dirty white cloth, commanding a group of Forest Will Tribe hunters to attack Godermo.

The woman sensed his gaze and turned his way.

"What?" Darkscale was pretty surprised when she didn't exhibit the same terror of before, but instead, after a moment of hesitation she smiled and bowed to him. She said something to the bipeds behind her and even they bowed for a moment before continuing to barrage Godermo with shots.

"Arghhh!"

Finally, under the disturbance of the Forest Will Tribe, the chieftain didn't manage to avoid one line of binding light. When this single thread of binding spell managed to touch the Fire Earth warrior, Darkscale roared happily: he was done!

The Light started to wrap itself around the man's body, heavily slowing him down. Soon, countless other chains managed to coil around his flesh, binding him to the ground.

"I really hope that you will be more useful than the last one I captured..." exclaimed Darkscale, looking at the distant Winter Leaf, that was sitting down on her kneels looking the battle with a terrified expression.

In her opinion, she just assisted at the most ferocious and incredible fight that could ever happen on the face of the earth. Her master, the cruel snake-shaped devil was loosing at first, but then suddenly he was the one that seemed to be the victor. She recognized immediately the silver light that was binding the other man, knowing the tortuous power of those chains.

"He won" she murmured when she saw the silver light come up from the dark terrain scattered with wooden pieces and lots of different merchandise. However, how did he do it? She couldn't understand how did that vicious monster create those magic symbols.

She had passed lots of time with him in the Blue Cave and she now knew something about those marks: they were created slowly, and required something to be drawn with. Maybe talent could be used to make up for the lack of time and peaceful environment for the creation of the arrays but the second part of the equation wasn't that simply substituted. So what he used?

"Plus" her eyes turned over to the green haired girl and the Hunter behind her.

"Star Leaf?" Why did she help him? She couldn't manage to understand why her clan member did help that devious creature! Yes, it was fighting against the Fire Earth Tribe, but it was clearly not to help their Forest Will Tribe!

She wanted to warn her people, but sensing the eyes of the devious creature on her, the woman immediately kowtowed in panic.

"Tss, useless... that one seems more intelligent" considered the serpent looking at the distant Star Leaf. Before he could do anything, the green-haired girl and the hunter behind her suddenly kneeled.

"Oh?"

"Great Devil, please exact justice on behalf of our Forest Will Tribe!" lamented the green-haired beauty.
