Chapter-5 Didn't I kill you?

"Wha--What do you mean by that?" Ryan got an ominous feeling.

"Every noble family's elder would direct purest form of Qi into the family's new-born children to cleanse their soul. This would result in the child being able to awaken a stronger spirit. However when I tried to do that for you, the Qi would scatter even under MY control. It was more like the profound Qi was showing aversion towards you. Thus it could be possible that you won't be able to walk the path of Qi cultivation." Amon bluntly told him the truth.

When Ryan heard this he became listless. 'So that jiji was not lying. I am a renegade in heaven's eyes, so the heavenly laws are against me. Does that mean I would have no spirit? Would I eventually die because some stupid heavens decided I should? No, I won't be a bystander, not in this life. Think calmly Ryan, you have to find a solution.' Contrary to what he thought, he didn't calm down but got angry instead since he couldn't find any solution. 'Fuck the heavens then, I'll shove a stick up its ass somehow someday.'

Just when this thought occurred in his head a voice resounded from his soul, 'HAHAHA. I told you I was not lying but you were too stupid then.

'Jiji?! Didn't I kill you?' Ryan got annoyed at this pestering voice.

'Brat do you think it's easy to kill me. Although I was shocked by your spirit, it doesn't mean that it could kill me. I was jus----'

'You mean I do have a spirit. That means I won't be a cripple, I can do all the things I wanted. I should tell blind old bastard that I have already awakened a spirit.' Ryan was excited and couldn't help but want to share it.

'WAIT! Brat don't tell anyone about that spirit. You absolutely must not tell anyone about your Chaos Dragon spirit or you would be chased to the ends of the world. That spirit is something that shouldn't exist.'

'Why shouldn't it exist? Don't I have it? Are you somehow holding a grudge because it almost killed you?'

'Brat I can't explain you its origin right now since it will only scare you more. Just listen to its consequences. If you utilise your chaos dragon spirit, heavenly laws would detect you and send its dogs after you. You were lucky that the pocket space where your chaos dragon awakened was a disconnected realm. Otherwise you would be facing the dogs of the heaven's will, that is the heavenly court. Right now not to mention you, even your whole family is nothing in front of heavenly court. So even if you have a spirit you are essentially a cripple. This is the reason you need to walk the way of the heathens, because eventually you are bound to challenge the heavens.'

'But then what will I do at the spirit awakening ceremony, I already awakened the spirit, what will happen when I drink the Soul burst elixir?'

'You just need to find a quiet place and assimilate with the Heathens Way before the ceremony. Once you unseal me it won't be difficult to handle it. What's there to worry about a mere soul burst elixir? It's just a medicine to agitate the soul to awaken the spirit. I'll temporarily suppress your chaos dragon spirit and absorb the medicine for myself.'

'But then won't everyone think that I have no spirit and thus am a cripple?'

I will definitely take revenge for forcing me to do this.' Ryan started laughing evilly surprising both Zahia and Amon.

While Ryan was conversing in his soul, Amon was silently waiting for his grandson to take in the shock. However, one moment Ryan was quiet and another moment he started cackling. This worried Amon as he thought that his grandson has gone mad from the shock. He felt that he had truly been a little harsh on his grandson. "Boy, you don't need to think about this too much. We still don't know what spirit you will awaken. Maybe your body will be able to absorb energy after that."

"Brother you don't have to worry about it. I am sure you would be able to get a super strong spirit that you always say. Even if you don't, I will always stay by your side to protect you. I will follow you wherever you go" Zahia resolutely tried to console her brother and hugged him. Ryan who had just woken out of his stupor was confused at the action. But he didn't seem to mind and immediately nuzzled his face in Zahia's undeveloped chest. His hands seem to roam about her back.

Amon added, "There's another thing; didn't I tell you that I started training your body at such an early age for a reason. That's because I had a solution for this. I was training you for the other approach, Physique cultivation. You even seem to have a talent for it since you broke through to the second realm without any physique scripture."

'Looks like I broke through because of the chaos dragon awakening' Ryan thought.

When the heathen soul heard this, it had a different understanding. 'The fluctuation I felt when his physique was breaking through had a different presence than chaos dragon. It was really sinister and fierce. Could it have been something else?' The heathen soul chose to put the matter aside for now and ask about it to Ryan later.

Physique Meridian Opening

Physique Flesh Refinement

All of them have 4 levels of completion; low-level, mid-level, high level and peak level. You were already at the peak level of Physique Foundation Tempering when we trained the last time. Breaking into Physique Blood Transmutation realm requires the direction of physique scripture to widen the meridians. It looks like your body broke through on its own without any help, this proves your immense potential in physique cultivation. However you will require a scripture to further cultivate in physique cultivation. You will be able to get one once you join an institute or sect. So overall, you don't have to worry about getting left behind even if you don't have any spirit."

"Grandpa, did you eat something weird today? You are praising me as if I were a beauty capable of toppling empires. You should know that I am only interested in girls." Saying that Ryan winked at Zahia who then got flustered and stopped hugging him.

Amon who heard his grandson return to his usual mischief heaved a sigh of relief. Most people are not able to stay calm once they hear that they could be a cripple. He was relieved that his grandson had a strong heart. But then he remembered his words and immediately swung his cane at Ryan's butt. "You scoundrel! Get out of here before I peel your skin off. And if you are late for the ceremony, I will make you train for 3 days straight without rest." Amon yelled in rage.

Ryan quickly ran off taking Zahia with him not paying any attention to his grandfather's threat.
