Chapter 4: The Prodigy System

Matthew's darkness lasted for what felt like an eternity. He was trapped in a prison of his own mind, unable to escape the pain and despair that consumed him. But then, something strange happened.

A faint hum, like a gentle whisper, began to resonate within him. It was a soft, soothing melody that seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere at the same time. Matthew's mind, foggy and unclear, slowly began to focus on the sound.

As he listened, the hum grew louder, and Matthew felt a strange energy coursing through his body. It was as if his cells were vibrating, resonating with the frequency of the hum. He felt a shiver run down his spine, and suddenly, his mind was flooded with visions and images.

Matthew saw flashes of soccer fields, streaming like a digital river through his mind. He saw players running, passing, and shooting, like a puzzle unfolding before him. And he saw a presence, a vast and powerful artificial intelligence, watching him with an unblinking gaze.

The Prodigy System spoke to Matthew in a voice that was both familiar and yet, utterly alien. "You have been chosen," it said. "You have been selected to be the host of the Prodigy System."

Matthew's mind reeled as the System continued to speak. "The Prodigy System is an artificial intelligence, created to optimize human potential. It has been searching for a suitable host, and it has chosen you."

As the System spoke, Matthew felt a surge of energy coursing through his body. His cells were changing, adapting to the presence of the Prodigy System. He felt his mind expanding, growing more powerful and more aware.

The System continued, "You have been chosen for your potential, Matthew. You have a natural talent for soccer, and with the Prodigy System, you will become unstoppable."

Matthew's heart raced with excitement as the System showed him visions of his future self, dominating the soccer field with ease and grace. He saw himself scoring goals, making impossible shots, and leading his team to victory.

But, the System continued, "However, your body is still weak, and your mind is still fragile. You will need a special potion to recover, and it will take months to take effect."

Matthew's heart sank, he was eager to start his new life, but he knew he had to be patient.

The System continued, "The potion has been added to your inventory. Drink it, and you will begin your journey to greatness."

Matthew opened his inventory, and saw the potion sitting in the corner, glowing with a soft blue light.
