CHAPTER 35: VICTORIA'S GAINS AND NEXT TRAINING STAGE

Gideon felt his heart stop in fear when he saw Victoria's bloodied body begin to fall and he barely caught her before she hit the ground.

He immediately noticed that her vitals were weak as her heartbeat was barely felt and the same with her breathing, she was also as pale as a sheet. Her whole body was covered in blood, but strangely enough, he didn't find any wounds. Though he didn't have time to care.

"She'll be fine. Though her body is completely exhausted." Draven suddenly appeared and said startling but also somewhat calming Gideon.

"What happened to her?" Gideon asked with fear and some anger.

"I'm not quite sure. But I can tell that she did this to herself, no one can escape my detection, plus I sensed that she was meditating but I didn't think this would happen." Hearing this, Gideon looked at the unconscious Victoria in his arms with worry.

'Just what on earth were you doing?' He couldn't come up with an answer.

"Though..." Draven suddenly started.

"I think whatever she did was beneficial to her despite her condition. It doesn't look like it,but her body became stronger without a doubt. That and." His brows furrowed.

"I don't know how to explain it, but her aura, it feels more, complete?" Draven himself didn't sound quite sure.

Upon hearing this, Gideon actually noticed that her condition was getting better quickly. Her face was already becoming rosy and her heartbeat and breathing strengthened.

Gideon finally relaxed completely when he saw this, at least she was getting better.

"She should wake up in a bit, I will take care of her so you don't need to worry. Now get some rest, the next stage of your training will start soon." Draven instructed and Gideon nodded. He took them to a nearby river and Gideon used its water to clean Victoria's bloodied body.

"Hmm?" As he was cleaning her, he noticed that her hair had turned completely purple, not a single strand was left out.

'Did she succeed?' Gideon realized that she had completely formed and assimilated with her aquafire.

'Her body wasn't originally made for it, so she changed her constitution.' His fear had completely disappeared and he was now ecstatic.

'My sister is probably the biggest prodigy the world, no the entire galaxy has ever seen.' He thought joyfully, though, he had no idea how true those words actually were.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gideon now understood why Draven kept telling him to rest.

"F*cking hell!" He cursed in annoyance as he watched a strange two 4 tailed rabbit escape his grasp once again.

Long story short, this stage of training needed him to successfully kill and bring back this rabbit. It was way harder than it sounded.

And apart from that, Draven said that even if he's unable to catch the rabbit before the end of their time, he'll still be there until he successfully catches it.

Gideon sat on a nearby rock as he deeply pondered on how to catch the rabbit.

'It isn't strong, but its fast as hell. Its instincts are also unbelievable, stealth and hiding killing intent aren't gonna cut it. And I still need to move fast enough to catch it within a short instant, its acceleration is insane, and Draven said that I can only enhance my body and weapons but I can't use any skills to bind it or wide range skills.' Gideon pondered deeply before getting up.

He then decided to observe the rabbit as he tried to come up with a way to catch the damn thing.

Gideon Kept his distance as he watched the rabbit which was with others of its kind. He observed its habits, what it ate and when it would be alone.

Hours passed.

The rabbit saw a few strange looking berries and approached them, it was what it like to eat. But just as it got close to the berries, it suddenly looked at a nearby bush and made a weird sound before running away.

"Tch." Gideon clicked his tongue at the failed trap.

"I guess there's no avoiding it, I need to create new skill." Gideon thought while holding the bridge of his nose.

He quickly found an open area that he could use to practice and got to work. Green light covered his body and in less than a second,he had crossed fifty meters.

"Fast, but not fast enough." He muttered as his brain started coming up with solutions. He didn't just need to be faster, he needed to move in such a way that by the time the rabbit noticed him, it would be too late.

"How about this?" Gideon's leg muscles suddenly contracted like a bow string and the poison aura focused on them.

*BOOM*

Web like cracks spread on the floor as he took of with insane speed, easily surpassing what he achieved before, but he wasn't happy.

"Too loud, I can't maintain it for too long, and too much energy is released." Gideon thought with a frown.

Then, for a few hours, he started to experiment endlessly as he would think of a technique, fail, and pick the one that was closest to what he wanted and repeat.

"Huff." Gideon let out a breath while massaging his aching legs. The constant pressure of moving at those speeds weren't something one should be exposed to for a long amount of time.

At this point, it had turned dark and Gideon was tempted to call it a day. But then he suddenly remembered how he found Victoria and how much pain she must've endured, so he gritted his teeth and stood up. But he seemed to reach a bottleneck.

What he was trying to achieve was a soundless burst of speed with crazy acceleration while causing minimal damage to the surrounding, but even though he was close to his goal, he would still scatter some dirt upon launch and the wind would howl loudly as he ran.

"F*ck, I wish I could just walk over." Gideon said in frustration while ignoring his bleeding legs.

'Wait a minute, walk.' Gideon's eyes widened as he immediately stood up once again.

'I kept trying to rapidly accelerate with a dash. But running causes me to dig my feet into the ground and the burst will force the wind around me, but walking doesn't have those limitations. The only issue is that it's slow. But what if I get rid of that?" Gideon this time, started walking in a straight line. As he walked, he first enhanced the nerves that led to his legs, upon doing it, simply thinking about moving his legs would insanely increase their movement speed. Then, he used up a large majority of his astral power and focused on enhancing every part of his legs.

They gave off steam and blood spilled out like crazy, but he gritted his teeth and kept walking. He lengthened his stride and gave his all into the walk.

After a few seconds, his legs gave out and he fell on the ground. But he was smiling. Because although it wasn't as fast as his running, the speed still met his requirements.

'Rabbits, here I come.' Gideon thought before falling asleep on the floor.
