Immotus

Waking up with a yawn, Raz let out an indescribable coo as he did the baby equivalent of a full-body stretch by moving his tiny arms. Still, it wasn't very effective, as he was essentially wrapped like a burrito in soft blankets.

After the attempted stretch, he didn't really know what to do. The previous night he had fallen asleep in the arms of his parents on the roof, and everything besides that was truly unknown as he slept like a brick.

Expending a lot of effort, he managed to flip himself onto his side to look out the window and saw that the sun hadn't risen yet. If he had to guess, he would assume the current time to be around five in the morning back on Earth.

Raz knew that nobody would bother him for a while, as from what he knew. His room was situated right next to his parent's room, with the only other living quarters nearby being the head maid, Marisa.

From his guess, the other servants and workers should be situated below on a different wing. There were no doubt people getting ready for the day, but most likely none to check on Raz until later in the morning.

Seeing as he couldn't really move, Raz knew he wouldn't be able to do things until he was older, so he thought, 'What should I do during the time when I can't do anything? Just waiting for people to come to me to do everything feels like such a waste.'

As he just lay there, something finally hit him as he wanted to check out what the goddess had left him. There was no doubt it should be something good as the goddess didn't give him anything in his previous lives.

Thinking about it, Raz didn't think whatever the goddess left him would be physical as it would be too obvious and flawed, so he continued to think, 'How do I even use or check what she gave me?'

After ten minutes of shouting various things in his mind like 'status!' or 'inventory!', he made no progress and gave up. With that out of the picture, Raz went back to thinking about what he could do as he lay helpless due to his feeble body.

The only thing left he could do was see if anything he knew from his previous lives could be applied in this situation.

He automatically disregarded his knowledge from the earth and the SciFi world as nothing there that could help him now, which only left him with his experiences from the cultivation world.

Raz knew hundreds if not thousands of techniques from his time as Xin. However, he wasn't sure how many would be applicable or even work in this new world as he didn't know if qi existed in this place as well.

Even though he was a child that was barely a day old, he knew of a way to detect qi despite his physical limitations.

Back during his time as a cultivator, Raz learned that detecting qi was not something that was entirely based on your physical status but also on your mental status.

So while his body may be the weakest it could be, his mind still contained his soul that had gone through centuries of experience, especially from his time as a cultivator. This meant that he would have a decent chance of detecting qi!

He went through the steps that he had done so many times in his past life that it seemed automatic and even passive to him as he calmed his mind into a tranquility comparable to a lake with no ripples or movement.

A serene and unperturbed landscape as he fell into a trance-like state as his mind itself seemed to stretch out and touch the untouchable.

Raz expected to encounter a sea of invisible energy that would signify qi, but the moment his mind went out, he took a deep breath as what met him wasn't what he expected. Instead of qi, an almost limitless sea of blue lazed around everywhere.

Simply marveling at the sea of blue like an ocean, Raz thought to himself, 'Beautiful, no, it's more… it's indescribable. To describe it with a word or two would be an insult to its beauty.'

It was so majestic that he could simply stare at it for hours on end, but he came back to reality as he remembered he was searching for qi.

Any other person would have given up, seeing as qi, which was pretty much invisible and almost impossible to discern, would be lost in the giant sea of blue, but Raz knew it better than his own limbs.

After five laborious minutes of searching, Raz finally stumbled upon something that resembled qi, and his mind rejoiced as he shouted to himself, 'Yes! It at least exists here!'

The quantity was so small that even a hair would have been larger, but just the fact that it existed gave him a sense of comfort.

Now fueled by determination, Raz began to gather the incredibly tiny pieces of what seemed to be qi for a whole hour until he was left with barely enough to form an adult hand. However, this small amount was enough.

Now equipped with enough qi to cultivate his body, he had to choose a technique carefully and think about it carefully, 'What technique should I go with? The heavenly hegemon body? No, that needs certain herbs, which most likely won't exist here. The eight demonic gates? No, that requires me to shed much blood, and I'll get snuffed out too fast as a criminal and mass murderer. This is harder than I thought.'

Raz never thought that despite having hundreds of techniques, choosing one that would be extremely powerful to give him an edge but not be limited by the scarcity of qi and materials would be so hard.

Continuing to scroll through his mind like a crazed person, a body cultivation art finally satisfied him as he whispered in his mind, 'Immotus.'

It was something that he had stumbled upon in the latter parts of his life when he fought the ancient cultivators as Xin, and its conditions made it impossible for him to utilize it at the time, so he simply memorized it for reference and tossed it aside in his mind.

However, with a new start with his current limitations, it was almost a perfect fit. The principle behind the art was building a body that was simply unmovable, unshakeable, and unbreakable.

To do this, a person would slowly reforge his body like a blacksmith that hammers a piece of steel countless times for the toughest blade or like a builder slowly laying rocks on top of each other repeatedly until it became an unmovable mountain.

However, the cultivation art was incredibly slow and required much time before it could show its true strength, which is why he forsook it in his previous life as he had already progressed much further in a different cultivation body art.

But this time was different. Raz was a child and a blank canvas with all the knowledge of the cultivation world and all the time in the world. His only limitation was the almost nill amount of qi in this world, but the technique didn't require vast amounts of qi.

With this in mind, Raz started to laugh uncontrollably as he thought about the future, but all that came out of his mouth were cute giggles.

The door leading into his room finally opened gently as a familiar figure walked in, but it wasn't who he initially thought it would be.

It was still incredibly early in the morning, but the person who entered wasn't the head maid. Rather it was his mother!

Fay slowly crept up to the crib and saw that Raz was already up, so she smiled as she whispered, "Well, look who's the energetic one and an early riser."

His mother gently picked him up while he was still coddled in his blankets and gently proceeded to take him along while she went about her daily routine.
