Chapter 59: Kidnappers

Ana

As the brutish girl was escorted out, the bar erupted into cheers once again and Ana wiped the sweat dripping from her forehead.

Normally, Ana would have wanted to avoid violence as it would make them stand out but in this situation, choosing not to fight would make them look like a potential target. At least they proved they weren't someone they should mess with.

The bald bartender ushered Ana back to her seat and offered her two glasses of drinks. "On the house," he told her. Ana eyed him cautiously.

Ana noticed that there were a few men knocked out on the floor as well and noticed that they were the people backing the brutish girl earlier.

"What happened to them?" Ana found herself asking out loud.

The bartender just shrugged his shoulders. "Your boyfriend took care of them."

Ana blushed at his bold statement. "B-boyfriend? He's not my boyfriend."
