Recovery
With the Jester defeated, the Outcasts returned to the Citadel, their expressions heavy with the weight of the recent battle. Damien and Marcus were immediately summoned to report to the Assembly. The grand hall of the Citadel buzzed with anticipation, the Elders seated in their high chairs, casting stern gazes at the returning heroes.
Damien and Marcus stood before the Assembly, the atmosphere tense.
Elder Nasri's voice broke the silence. "Explain the destruction on Crimson Row."
Marcus stepped forward. "The battle with the Jester was intense. He was a formidable opponent, well beyond what we expected. The collateral damage was unavoidable given the circumstances."
Elder Graves' eyes narrowed. "Collateral damage is one thing, but the entire district was nearly leveled. How do you justify this?"
