Scandalous Lin

A scandal. That was what Lin was doing as she stormed the Shen family's gate and into the front of their mansion. The Shen family guards and other goons surrounded her but none dared touch her in fear of retaliation from the An family.

"Liu, you son of a bitch! Come out of here right now!"

Instead of the redhead, it was the head of the household that greeted Lin.

Rong flashed the blue haired woman a fake smile.

"What brings you to our humble abode, Young Mistress of the An family?"

"Your daughter, where is she!? Bring her out right now!"

Suddenly, a voice came above from the mansion's veranda.

"What the hell is your problem, you dyke!? Barging into someone's front gate unannounced, you have no shame!"

Liu's scowl turned in to terror as she saw the rage on Lin's face, the blue haired woman wasted no time in brandishing her whip from her storage ring. Lin was about to jump up but Rong caught him by the ankle and forcibly pulled her back to the floor.

"Is this about my daughter exposing your 'secret'? I'm afraid you have no one to blame but yourself for having such a perverse disposition."

Perverse!? He dares label her relationship with Xiao perverse!? Like father like daughter, both infuriated the ever living shit out of Lin.

Lin immediately changed her target to the man in front of her. The burning rage inside Lin manifested not as flames, but as a lethal current, traveling along her whip. In the blink of an eye, Lin struck with a side swipe. The bladed tip of Lin's weapon was about to hit Rong's head, left with no other recourse, the shen patriarch was forced to block it using his wrist. Like a snake with a will of its own, Lin's whip coiled around Rong's arm.

The initial current that came from Lin's attack was something that Rong could endure. What came next was something she could not. Lin unleashed a baleful voltage that made Rong scream from the agony of being electrocuted to death.

In his anger, Rong lost all of his restraint. Rong grabbed Lin's whip and pulled, rendering her off balance while forcing the young mistress to stumble onwards. In her mind's eye, Lin could see Rong's attack straight to her face. His fist was about to give her a crash course lesson on how to respect one's elders.

Lin was sent flying, ruining the Shen family's front garden as she landed on the plants.

At that moment, Rong cared not about appearances. Inside his very household, the brat failed to give him face the moment she attacked him. Rong walked towards Lin who was coughing up blood as she tried to get back up on her feet. She would pay dearly for her mistakes. Even her life was up for consideration.

But that consideration would be applied to Rong as well, as Bing dropped from the sky to block Rong's path.

Bing's killing intent was palpable enough to make Rong gulp. The An family raised and took him in from poverty, treating him as one of their own. You could probably guess how he would react once he saw Lin collapsed on the ground.

"Wait, you're the An family's bodyguard, right? Your young mistress is the one at fault. She came in here and suddenly…"

Bing stood idle, not because he was listening to Rong's ramble, but because he was internally weighing the consequences of killing Rong.

Rong was cut short by Bing's gale uppercut, Rong was fast enough to block it, but the wind qi that vortexed around his fist broke through to his defense, making Bing's punch land straight to Rong's jaw. Bing's assault wasn't over yet, his winds that accompanied his uppercut propelled Rong upwards. With the winds as his ally, Bing not only jumped high to follow Rong, but he was able to maneuver himself mid air and release a devastating kick into Rong's sternum, sending him crashing back into the pavement.

"Father!" Liu immediately jumped down and rushed towards the knocked out Rong. Cradling the unconscious man in her arms, Liu sharply glared not at the man responsible, but to the blue haired woman. "You're going to pay for this Lin! Mark these words!"

They were the very words that Lin was waiting for. Lin's smile was villainous enough to make a cold shiver run down Liu's spine. And it wasn't just his smile, it was also what she said next…

"Is that so? With Bing as my witness, your father hit me while you threaten my life? I guess we have no other choice but to declare a war against each other's families, don't we?"

Come next day at the Transient Blades sect's garden.

Since Xiao's showdown with the demonic cultivator was drawing near, and with her cultivation base finally fit for the task. Zhen thought it was finally time to teach Xiao how bonafide cultivators traveled.

Xiao stood atop her levitating ice sword in regal form, balanced to the point of a needle. It was no easy task since Xiao's qi coursing through her sword fought against gravity and her own weight. But the awesome sensation of flying high up in the air was worth it, even more so if Xiao could master it.

<<That is it, Xiao. Focus. Now move slowly.>>

Per her teacher's command Xiao a few distance away before finally falling into the ground below.

Even as she fell, a smile marked Xiao's lips, just the thought of being able to travel anywhere with nothing but her ice qi was all the motivation she needed.

<<Not bad for your tenth try, now do it.>>

Hours later, Xiao was circling the skies above, the refreshing winds caressing her face as she was beginning to pick up speed while soaring through the clouds.

"This shit feels awesome! Why haven't you taught this to me sooner, teacher!?" Xiao questioned as she blitzed through the air.

<<Your previous cultivation level won't be able to handle it. Simple as that.>>

"What would happen if I tried it even when my cultivation level was too low?"

Fang Xuan was kind enough to answer his elder's inquiry. Or foolish enough, whichever you prefer.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAH! ELDER XIAO HELP!"

Fang Xuan began screaming at the top of his lungs as he spun while riding his Bagua Dao in the air. The man was basically a flying top. Since Fang Xuan figured he could already send his sword flying, why not just ride on top of it?

Xiao sensed her teacher's spectral mug turning into a grin.

<<That is going to happen.>>
