Iron Clad Division

Two days had passed since the tournament. I was now the commander of the Iron Clad Division. When I had asked of the whereabouts of the previous commander. They stated that he was assassinated in his sleep, and the assassin is still nowhere to be found.

I was in my new residence. Today was the day in which I would meet my subordinates. Although I am quite young at 15 years of age. Marquess Lymberg informed me that in this kingdom, one's rank goes by the power they possess, regardless of their age.

I have no intention of having weak subordinates, if you are to fight with me on the battlefield, you should rid yourself of human emotions, and turn yourself into a beast. That is the way of God of Blood and War. You should be able to kill an opposing force without mercy.

I then heard a knock on the door. The person on the other side informed me that they were the vice commander of the division. I opened the door and found a man as large as myself, I could tell by the aura he exuded that he was strong.

"My name is Aaron Smith, it's a pleasure to meet you commander Alexander." While extending his hand for a handshake.

"The pleasure is all mine Vice Commander Smith." While locking hands with him.

While our hands were locked, he exerted a strong force, as if trying to gauge my strength. Although it was strong, I simply applied most of my strength to match his force and went beyond that.

His smile quickly turned into discomfort as I applied more and more of my strength, he then let go and let out a slight sigh, as if to express his defeat and satisfaction with the result.

"Although you are young, you have the strength of a bear, I'm willing to follow those stronger than me." While going down on one knee.

"Follow me, and I'll make you even stronger, Aaron, for I will one day rule over this continent." While gazing in his eye.

Although, Aaron completely thought the statement was a joke. The gaze Ragar gave him instantly made him believe his words. It were as if he were staring into the eyes of a conqueror.

"How do you know that you will achieve the dream you speak of." His eyes lit up with curiosity as this allowed him to figure out what type of man Ragar was.

"I do not want to live my life being a slave to a king who has no vision, nor do I want to be under someone's rule forever. The continent is quite vast and filled with many tales of heroes that built their own legacy through their strength and integrity. I, Ragar Jin Alexander, will build my own legacy in this world, and every corner of the continent will have people singing songs of my tales. That, is how I know I will achieve it." While staring into Aaron's eyes.

Aaron decided to refrain from asking questions and believed that Ragar is a man whose story he'd like to see to the very end.

They then rode on horseback to the Iron Clad Division camp, where Ragar would meet his subordinates.

"Hoyy! Aaron has arrived with the new commander." Said one of the troops.

Everyone lined up in an orderly formation as they were eager to meet their new commander.

"It's surprising to see Aaron coming back with the commander, does it mean he passed the test." Said one of the soldiers.

"EVERYBODY SHUT YOUR MOUTHS, THIS IS THE NEW COMMANDER OF THE IRON CLAD DIVISION, RAGAR JIN ALEXANDER!!!!" with a voice that pierced the air.

Ragar then approached the division while exuding his aura, this left both Aaron and the rest of the division stunned. Although they were seeing a man, the pressure felt as if they were being led by a being that has reached greater heights than a general, as if they were witnessing the arrival of a divine being themselves.

"MY NAME IS RAGAR JIN ALEXANDER, FROM THIS DAY ONWARDS YOUR ARE TO FORGET THE TITLE OF DIVISION. I WILL CULTIVATE YOUR TALENTS AND TRANSFORM YOU INTO AN ARMY THE WHOLE WORLD WILL FEAR. STEEL YOUR HEARTS AND LIVE FOR ME. AS YOUR COMMANDER, I WILL MAKE SURE YOU REACH THE HIGHEST PEAK OF WARFARE AND BECOME INDIVIDUALS THAT CAN TURN THE TIDE OF WAR BY YOUR VERY PRESENCE. THIS WILL BE NO PLACE FOR COWARDS, BUT A PLACE FOR MEN THAT SHARE THE SAME IDEAL AS I, BUILDING A LEGACY THAT WILL BE REMEMBERED THROUGHOUT HISTORY!!!"

A speech that reached the heart of every soldier, and the result was a roar that sounded as if a dragon had been awoken.

The captains then introduced themselves to Ragar. Each introduction was the captain's name, age, and the unit they lead into battle.

"My name is Jerome Vasquez, I am 24 years old and I am the captain of the infantry unit."

"My name is Spencer Matthews, I am 26 years old and I am the captain of the Archer

unit."

" My name is Jonathan Woodgate, I am 25 years old and I am the captain of the cavalry unit."

"My name is Christopher Woodgate, I am the captain of the engineering unit."

"Are you and Jonathan related by any chance." Asked Ragar with curiosity.

"He is my half brother." Said Jonathan.

"Alright, I thank you all for the introductions, it is time for the reformation of this division."

Ragar had a thought in his mind. He wondered why other divisions had barracks that were nicely built while the Iron Clad Division had to build their own barracks with wood from the nearby forest.

He asked the Vice Commander Aaron and found out that the other divisions were mostly composed of nobles and this division is filled with commoners, which is why there was favoritism.

Furthermore, he also found out that the majority of the population looked down on the Iron Clad Division, due to their repeated defeat on the battlefield.

This resulted in him questioning the kindness of the other commanders when he was offered the role of division commander. It were as if they desired for him to fail in this division.

Before he could begin his conquest outside, he first had to make the division become one of the strongest in the kingdom.

"This is exhilarating" While letting out a large smile.

I am switching from first person to third person narrative from this point going forward
