CHAPTER 16 - DANIEL VS VASCO

And the last match for that session was Daniel against Vasco.

They walked on stage with Vasco holding a club and Daniel with nothing but his wrist and shin guards.

"Isn't he just going to fight a losing battle, look at the person he's fighting against, he held a huge and string weapon but he came with nothing else except his arm and shin guard" the crowd murmured.

Some people in the crowd obviously recognized him, "isn't that Daniel" someone said.

As his name was called discussion rang out and details of his past were found out.

So you're saying two months ago that boy wasn't even in the academy, and he was one of the less privileged in the outer city, so how did he transform so quickly?

The crowd was in blatant disbelief, they couldn't imagine how someone had gone from being a weak and scrawny kid to having nearly perfected muscles in his body in just two months.

The people who had bullied Daniel stood amongst the crowd and watched the fight, they wished they could go back in time not to offend a terrifying monster like that, but time is constant.

On the stage, Vasco stood opposite Daniel with a huge smile on his face, he knew Daniel very well.

Since the time from two months till now he had never seen Daniel train to fight, all he had seen him do was train his body, he even thought Daniel had a mental trauma with his weak body that was why he was doing everything to strengthen it.

Although he knew he hadn't seen Daniel have the battle experience he still kept his guard up, because it wasn't always every day that he was around so he wouldn't be able to truly know if he had trained in that aspect.

Vasco walked steadily toward Daniel, once he knew his weapon was at arms reach from Daniel's body he quickly attacked striking his shoulder.

The force was so strong that it sent Daniel deeper into the ground, and then dust from broken tiles and sand covered the place.

"He has won already didn't I tell you guys, the other guy just had bad luck being paired with him" a group of people who sat at the top of the coliseum discussed.

But the next thing, we saw Daniel who was still perfectly standing with not a scratch it wound on his body.

The only part of his body that got damaged was the shoulder part of his shirt.

A few seconds ago….

As Daniel stood in the ring be saw the overcrowded number of people all gathered here to watch them.

He was placing his arm guards well so they wouldn't fly off in the fight, then he nothiced something at the corner of his eyes.

It was Vasco, he had attacked him while he was preparing.

With the speed the hit was coming, he knew he couldn't dodge it

He immediately put up his new technique as he followed the trajectory of the club.

So instead of the club hitting his shoulders it hit his arm guards, it had a little weight, even his training tools had more weight than that and that was just a middle level training tool.

The kinetic force that was suppsose to damage him was taken round his body and ejected through his legs, that's why he looked like the club had sent him deep into the stage.

The crowd, commentator and even other participants looked at him in shock, they all knew if they were to be hit by that strike without any defensive equipment they could have been seriously injured.

But he just stood there menacingly, "maybe I didn't use my full strenght that's why he's still standing" he thought, ever since he was born he was known to have been gifted superhuman strenght and he hardly met people who had the same strenght as him.

Daniel who still wanted to test the limits of his new skill allowed himself to get hit continuously, Vasco couldn't believe what he was seeing, he with his godly strenght couldn't even take down a person half his size.

The crowd went wild at this scene, they could all feel the shockwaves and tremors from each blow but Daniel just stood there unfazed, the only thing that happened was the stage that was destroyed with each blow.

Daniel stood at the edge as he contemplated, although his technique wasn't perfected against all weapons he was sure anyone who was just a level or two above him he would be able to keep himself safe or even defeat them if they fought with just brute strength or blunt weapons.

He came to the ceremony to test the limits of his skills and to get awakened and he had done just a part of them.

As he saw Vasco running at him again, instead of letting himself get hit he dodged the club and landed a punch at his jaw.

Vasco staggered backward as he was disoriented, he touched his jaw which hurt badly, and looked at Daniel.

He had been careless, he thought Daniel was just good in defense, he never knew his attack was that strong.

This time he composed himself and went for the attack, but the results were the same as before.

Thang….

The sound of Daniel's fist hitting his face echoed out, he was confused, but he kept his defense tightly guarded so how did Daniel's fist still hit him?

While he was still thinking Daniel took his first step forward, at the next moment he was on his right.

Bang… Bang… Bang…

Punches rained on him left and right, even though he was doing his best to defend all the punches went through.

It felt like a boulder was smashing him every time he got hit, Daniel's strength was terrifying, he could continuously drop hits like that.

After some while he couldn't keep taking the damages and gave up.

"Daniel's the winner of the match" the lady announced.
