The Black Cat, Part Twenty-Seven

Upon walking through the portal, Zenith quickly raised her sword in case this didn't lead to a safe zone and there were several angry High Rollers waiting for her to come out.

There weren't.

Instead, what greeted her were towering trees standing at the top of a hill that rolled out into an endless carpet of dirt and grass, as far as Zenith's eyes could see.

Checking her HUD, Zenith looked and, indeed, she found that this part of the map was marked blue.

And, she found that this map was far larger than she initially believed.

The dot representing her position on it was so tiny. From looking at the map alone, Zenith felt like it could take a day or two of non-stop walking just to get from this place to the opposite end of the map, where that "central dungeon" was located, even without any enemies to fight.

The problem, of course, was that there were many enemies to fight.
