Even Sidius himself, who usually held little interest in such matters, can hardly control his cool in the presence of the mesmerizing Flame Witch. Her allure seemed to emanate naturally, as if she effortlessly exuded an aura of seduction.

Professor Amelia's voice resounded again, her gaze scanning the room and asked, "Before I delve into the world of magic, does anyone here know about the history of our planet prior to the emergence of mana?"

A confident male student at the front eagerly raised his hand, excited to provide an answer, "I know, professor!" he exclaimed.

"Alright, you may proceed."

The student nooded and began his narration, "Exactly Year 2050, ozone layer that keeps the earth from evolving was damaged because of the inevitable global warming. Meteors, asteroids and comets from outer space collided with earth, opening portals and spatial cracks."

He paused briefly before continuing.

"This event is also known as the Great Catalysm or the Second Beginning of Earth. The mana poured in causing our planet to form much more firm ozone layer and different calamities like earthquakes and tsunamis occured resulting in billions of human casualties," he added confidently.

"Correct!" Amelia praised, "Thank you, you may sit down," she added before continuing.

"After that event, continents went back to its original shape forming the Pangea but due to sudden increase in mana, the top part of it was linked to the east side of the continent and new lands emerged from the depths of the ocean.

"With the surge of mana, the planet expanded countless times, transforming from a four-dimensional planet to a super-dimensional one. This surge in mana allowed living beings to undergo evolution, resulting in incredible possibilities."

In the midst of the professor's lecture, a particular girl raised her voice with a spark of realization in her eyes.

"So that's why the supernatural creatures mentioned in ancient fantasy books such as vampires and mermaids have become a reality!" she exclaimed.

"That is not the case student, those are not fantasy. They are always with us, residing in secluded areas with mana to sustain their kind. Now that whole planet has mana, they will obviously come out and reveal themselves," Amelia corrected.

She then shifted the focus of the discussion to the next topic.

"Now, does anyone here have an understanding about magic spell?"

Turning around, Amelia grabbed a device and initiated a presentation on the white screen titled 'Principles of Magic Spells' before turning around again to pick a student who raised their hands.

"Vanessa, you may answer," Amelia instructed.

Vanessa is a student who always had a book in her hands. She may have appeared shy at first glance but beneath the surface, she possessed a lively persona. As the saying goes, "Don't judge a book by its cover".

"M-magic spells are formulas in order to activate the magical effects on a person or an o-object with mana," she answered.

"Precisely! Now, what takes a magic spell to be executed successfully?" Amelia inquired once again after signalling Vanessa to sit down.

"Since no one is volunteering, I'll choose at random…" she said, randomly selecting a name from the device in her hand. "Sidius, would you care to answer?"

'What rotten luck,' Sidius cursed inwardly as he rose from his seat, organizing his response carefully.

"Yes, professor. To cast a magic spell successfully, magic spell needs a strong foundation. By harnessing mana and combining it with specific incantation and motion, we can trigger the desired magical effects. Even if one memorizes the incantations and motions, without sufficient mana, the spell cannot be performed," Sidius confidently explained.

"Correct, magic spells require the presence of mana for their manifestation as well as a logical foundation proven by its magical effects," the professor affirmed while Sidius settled back into his seat.

"Mana can be specified into elements just like elemental roots found in Aurors. Water and fire are associated with offensive magic, while earth represents defensive magic. Wood is connected to vitality. Light for both offensive and supportive aspects, it's very effective in negative magic such as curses. Finally, the dark element is primarily used for illusion purposes and stands as the opposite of light element," Amelia elaborated. "It depends on the chosen's talent which elemental mana they can assimilate."

"Control is also crucial when wielding magic or you'll just blindy deplete your body because of mana loss. In the past, even powerful mages suffered from mana loss. However, thanks to diligent researchers, beginners now have the opportunity to practice absolute control over their mana and improve their efficiency by having a 'Mana Heart.' Mana heart is the evolve heart of living beings by absorbing mana and forming a magic circles around it...

"There are more principles of magic that we can explore in the future but for now, I will show you a tier 1 magic spell. If any of you are unable to master it within an hour, I suggest dedicating more time to practice."

Professor Amelia flawlessly described the principles of magic. She proved herself to be a capable mage and a dedicated teacher by adeptly explaining the lesson for her students' comprehension.

"Now, your task for today is to cast this tier 1 magic spell. Find the training hall and go to room C-2. Once you choose to enter your personal spaces, the timer will automatically start and it will begin to record your performance. Those who successfully complete the task will earn additional points based on their time," Amelia concluded before turning off the white screen.

"That's all for today's lesson. Class dismiss."

Hearing the task, a hint of excitement danced inside Sidius' eyes.

'Casting a magic spell huh? That sounds fun,' he muttered to himself.
