4. Stand Up, If You Don’t Want To Die.

~Somewhere in the building~

"Second commander, the defensive array won't hold on much longer. The pressure on them is too much,"

"I know, it's a miracle it's still standing. How many ninth stage nascent soul realm do we have left?"

"About thirty sir, eight stage number fifty and seventh stage, only a few hundreds are left,"

"The old ancestor is still healing, we can't expect help anytime soon. Pass my orders, we won't go down quietly, we'll go down with a bang,"

"Yes sir,"

"Where's the old ancestor's granddaughter?"

"She went out to fight sir,"

"As stubborn as ever, I hope she makes it till the old ancestor comes… Kuhum!"

The second command coughed and spat out blood.

"Easy sir,"

"Sir you need to see this," a lady rushed over and said.

"What's going on?"

"I don't know, but the pressure on the defensive array has decreased and most of the beast have their attention focus on something else,"

The second commander followed the lady out and flew into the sky. The lady was right, most of the beast were flying away in one direction.

At a distance in that direction, something was charging over. He couldn't see it clearly but he knew the beast were falling down like flies before it.

"Did the first commander send reinforcements?" the lady asked.

"I don't think so. That bastard won't waste lives on anyone. Pass my orders, anyone who isn't wounded go out and fight,"

"What?"

"We can't miss this opportunity. Kill as much as you can until I order retreat,"

~Buuuuup!!!~

A loud trumpet sounded followed by a loud voice.

"All those who aren't wounded, attack! Kill as many beast as you can,"

"YEAH!!!"

A triumphant chant came next and hundreds of people shot outside the light barrier. Those who were outside before were taken back at first, but when they saw their comrades charging they smile and held their weapons tighter.

For all of them, there was only one meaning to the commanders orders. That was go all out, fight to the death, and kill as many as you can before dying. They were going down with a bang.

~Somewhere On The Battlefield~

"Captain, I can't find Elta. She's missing," a lady cried out.

"What? How long now?"

"I noticed a minute ago,"

"Tch," the captain bit his lower lips as he sliced a beast. "I don't think we can find her. Besides, this is our last stand,"

"Captain…"

"Kill until you die!" the captain roared and shot forward.

Several others shot out, following him quickly. Only the lady remained behind. She bit her lower while looking around.

"Sorry my lady, please forgive me. I hope you survive. But in case you are dead, I shall kill a hundred of them to honor your death,"

She exhaled and sprang out. Her hands holding two swords tightly. And her body glowing brightly.

"DIE!" she roared and swung her hands. "For killing my sister, die! Die! DIE!!!"

Her voice shook the heavens and echoed through the noisy battlefield. It was a cry let out, by her not only her body, but her spirit and soul too.

~ROAR!~

The ground quaked violently and a giant rose out from it, sending her flying.

"Ack! Ah!"

She coughed and grimaced. Her gazed moved to the giant, who had sent her flying some distance away.

"Kuhum! No way! An ancestor level beast!"

Standing at about twelve feet tall, the beast struck fear in the heart of all those who saw it. If what they had was called fighting spirit, then the appearance of this beast had shattered it. Against this, all hopes were lost.

In front of the building, the second commander had his eyes and mouth opened.

"Impossible! It was healing right at our doorsteps!" the lady beside him exclaimed.

"Second commander, we need to call the old ancestor," his attendant yelled.

"It's no use. The ancestor is wounded, and before he arrives, we'll all be swiped out,"

Their death was written in stone. An ancestor level beast was not something they could face.

The beast looked around and it's gaze landed on the lady laying not too far away.

"Hmph,"

It didn't waste time on her, rather it snorted and turned away. Something had caught its attention. The direction it looked was the same direction the beasts were rushing to.

"They can't even slow it down,"

~Roar!~

While it recovered it sensed something rushing over so it ordered the surrounding beast to attack. It was recovering and couldn't afford to be disturbed. So it cowered underground and sent its subjects. But that thing had no intention of stopping and was not slowing down in the slightest.

"This aura, it isn't that old man. Did the humans get someone else to come in his stead?"

~Rar!~

The ancestor beast roared and turned its body. Its tail slammed down on the lady below. For her, everything went black.

"That's everything sir,"

"Moss, is all that true?" The commander asked.

"I swear on my battle axe sir,"

"Killing a peak eighth level beast so easily, not even a eight stage nascent soul realm can do that,"

The commander frowned and shook his head. "He is still one man, there's a limit to what he can do alone,"

"Sir, there's news," someone yelled. "The old ancestor just left the base,"

"The ancestor made a move? Did the ancestor level beast must have shown up?"

The commander closed his eyes. "Hmm, send news to the western front, this is their chance to retreat,"

"Yes sir,"

~Somewhere In Front Of The Central base~

"Hiyah," a girl screamed while slicing a beast. "Why do I get this feeling? Did someone die?"

"Well, a lot are dying on here. That peak eight rank beast was so annoying. It pulled me while it ran away. Now I'm separated from my team,"

~Rar!~

"Die!"

A beast charge at her as it ran forward. "A mere, eighth level beast. I'm not some little girl," she said to the corpse at her feet.

"Where the hell are they running to,"

The beasts all around charged towards one direction. They all seem to be in a hurry and earnestly flew away. Online a few occasionally attacked her.

~Rar!~

"Shit,"

Caught off guard, she was attacked by a beast and sent flying. She crashed to ground but quickly struggled to her feet.

Seeing her get back up, the beast stopped and faced her. Her gaze landed on her attacker and her eyes widened.

"Ninth level,"

She couldn't face it alone. It's strength was greater than her own. She drew another sword and stared at it.

"Ah!"

A beast had attacked her from behind. Biting her left abdomen and forcing her to the ground.

"Ah!"

She screamed while throwing punches at it. But the beast won't bulge. It placed it paws on her and held her in place while it raised its head.

~Rar!~

It roared at her and dived at her head. Everything went black instantly.

"Stand up, If you don't want to die," she heard a voice say.
