Fractured bounds
Days had slipped by like grains of sand, and now the final day of the runway was just around the corner.
A knot of anxiety tightened in her stomach as she stared at her phone, the screen glowing back at her with a sense of urgency.
Alsen and Sasha had gone completely silent, their absence deafening. She leaned back in her chair, feeling the tension in her shoulders, and decided to give Alsen's number one last try.
To her surprise, the call went through, sending a flicker of hope coursing through her.
"Finally," she breathed, anticipation rising within her.
But just as quickly, that hope was snuffed out when the phone rang and rang, only to be met with silence on the other end.
"What the fuck!" she exploded, her frustration echoing in the empty room.
The runway show was set for two days from now, a mere heartbeat in the frantic pace of preparations, and yet, Alsen and Sasha had seemingly vanished into thin air without a notice.
