The Jump

"What do we do now?"

The guards were in a state of despair. Some plopped to their knees having lost all will to live.

"If those battle cruisers fire their astral cannons at us, none of us would survive."

"Tck," Ryker clicked his tongue seeing the guards despair. "How pathetic can you guys be!?" He snapped at them grabbing one of them by the collar. "The first thing you do in the face of death is losing the will to live? What a bunch of losers!" He exclaimed throwing the guard to the ground.

"Look!" He points at the cruisers. "Instead of wasting your time whining like babies, clench your teeth! Help us fight cause I'll be damned if I go down like this."

"Hahaha!" Peck laughs. Turning to Jackal, he said, "You sure got a feisty one there."

Jackal grinned like a Cheshire cat. "Believe me, he's a hell of a person alright..."

Peck nods. "I'll take your word on that, Capitan."
