Getting selected

Even though it is almost December, the sunshine in California is still warm, shinning warmly on the body.

The weather here is like spring in morning, summer in noon and afternoon, autumn in the evening, and several different seasons can be seen in a day.

"How did the premiere of "Vanilla sky" go?" Amy asked Tom about the last night's premiere of his movie. "From what I heard, it was excellent and both critics and audience liked it."

"It was good but I missed you. You should have come to the premiere." Tom replied to Amy in his arms.

"I was going to come, but at the last minute, CAA arranged a dinner of the members. Kevin insisted a lot, so I had to go." Amy explained her reason of not coming. She was going to come, but the last minute arrangements made everything a mess. Kevin arranged a meeting of internal personal of CAA in celebration of them signing as a manager. Amy could not be absent from such an important matter.

"I know and I am not complaining. I was just telling about myself"

Amy looked at her cute boyfriend and her heart recieved a critical blow. So cute, what should she do with him. She took Tom's face in her palms, "Don't make such expressions.

The next morning, Amy woke up full of tiredness. Her whole body was feeling tired and a little uncomfortable. She looked at the sleeping person on the side, and then thought about his active state yesterday night. Amy put the things aside in her mind, and moved to step out of the bed.

Before Amy even barely moved, she was locked back in the powerful arms. She heard a low voice: "Sleep a little more, you must be tired."

"Then who is responsible for it." Amy asked back a little angrily.

Tom smiled seeing the cute angry face of Amy: "Okay, I admit its my fault. But I am also helpless. Who can stop when he has such a beautiful girlfriend."

Amy wanted to say something but fatigue swept over her and she again fell into deep sleep. When she woke up again, it was already 1 pm. She looked aside and Tom was not beside her. Amy hurriedly dressed up and went outside the bedroom. She saw Tom was cooking in the kitchen.

Tom also saw Amy coming out. He smiled at her: "Sit on the table. Lunch is going to be ready soon. You can first drink the fresh juice."

Amy smiled and felt happy at the moment. A caring, gentle, kind, mature and good-looking boyfriend is what every girl dreams of.

She contacted Richard to see the status of things. Richard and Kevin both are in contact with Mirax for Amy's chance to play. Caa attaches great importance to this cooperation. In addition to passing Amy's information to Martin, they are also using their contacts to persuade Martin to select Amy for the role.

The movie will start shooting at beginning of next year. The success and failure are a matter of past few days.

Amy recieved a call from Richard regarding the matter: "Amy, its a good news. I received the call from the studio. They are ready to sign you for the role."

Amy was excited: "Thank you Richard. Its wonderful."

Richard's pleased voice came from phone: "I must say this must be the role I have lobied the most for. Even Kevin made many calls a day."

Amy thanked very gratefully to Richard. She's even very much grateful to Kevin, he helped her a lot. A single call made by Caa's Co-chairman is worth a lot, and here Kevin made more than a single call. She knows how tough the competition for resources among the actresses in Hollywood is.

Richard said to Amy: "There's no need for so much thanks. As an agent, its my and caa's duty to get work for you. Its a mutual cooperation."

Amy nooded: "Its a thank from a friend."

Amy placed the phone back after the call. Tom who came out of Kitchen saw Amy's happiness and asked: "What's the matter. You seem very happy."

Amy excitedly told Tom about Richard's call and the details.

"Its a happy thing then." Ton congratulated and then asked, "Will you now again go. You just came back a few days ago."

Amy laughed: "Don't worry. Shooting will start next year. For the next few days, I am all yours expect for a few buisness activities."
