Chapter 9: The letter

1st Saturday

Dear Granpa,

It's the first Saturday. I made some friends, grandpa. My friends' names are Harry and Ron. I guess Hermione too. The first week was pretty uneventful. Thanks to the Gregorovitch magic theory I'm pretty advanced when it comes to the practical side of magic. I can't say the same for my friends though. For our first charm class, both Harry and Ron, were pretty behind. In the beginning of potion, Harry got shit on by the professor. During transfiguration both Harry and Ron were late. I don't know why, but I keep getting a weird feeling that for the next seven years, Harry and Ron are going to keep getting shit on. Weird right? I've been practicing occulemency. My memory's been improving like you said it would.

Well, I gotta get going. Got a whole castle to explore.

From Milah.

"That should do it."

Once Milah was finished writing his letter, he walked to the owl keep.

"Hugo, here take this to grandpa."

"Hoot, Hoot."

After Milah gave the letter to Hugo, the giant owl took off into the sky. Seeing the bird fly away, Milah walked back to the castle.

'I spent the entire week wandering the castle, but I never found anything.'

As Milah walked back to the castle, he was lost in his own thoughts. He wanted to find at least one secret of the castle, before Christmas break. But the way things going, seemed like he was doomed to just stroll the halls.

Once he walked past the gates into the main hall, he saw that it was still empty. He started to wonder, who made the food. As his curiosity started to overwhelm him, he walked to Percy and asked him.

"Hey, Percy. Do you know who makes the food?"

"Of course, I do. Why do you want to know?" asked Percy. His eyes started to narrow in suspicion.

"Just wondering."

"Well the house elves make the food, and take care of all the chores."

'They might know some secrets'

"Thanks Percy"

Once the conversation was finished, he walked towards the Hufflepuff table. Finding one of the seniors of Hufflepuff, Milah asked, "Do you know where the house elves live?"

"I don't know where they live, but most of the time they do stay in the kitchen."

"Do you know where the kitchen is?"

"Of course every Hufflepuff knows where the kitchen is. What was your name again?"

"Oh, sorry. My name's Milah Gregorovitch."

"Hello, Milah. My name's Cedric Diggory."

"Why don't I show you the way."

"Okay, thanks."
