10: Another Chance.

He found himself kneeling inside a dark room and it slowly began to light up.

He raised his head and saw a bench standing in front of him and a woman with bright yellow hair and wearing a black gown was sitting on it.

" What in the world is this place?" He thought, slowly getting onto his feet.

The moment he got up it felt like his legs were no longer his and without his own will, he began to walk towards the woman who was sitting on the bench.

When he came close to the bench, he looked over at her and saw that she was staring at the floor with her hands on her lap.

As soon as he sat on the bench, he heard her say, " I don't see the reason as to why you don't show any resentment towards me, even after everything you just saw."

" Your dedication to your kingdom was commendable, I feel more like praising rather than resenting you, it's not like any of that matters anyway." He said, turning his gaze towards the white floor.

" I thought that I could rid myself of the pain and suffering only by taking my own life, but it didn't work and after many years of waiting I finally found a worthy soul." She said, turning to face him.

His eyes widened and he immediately raised his head and turned to face her as well.

" And what do you mean by that?"

For a moment Harry felt like he had seen her disappear from where she was and appear right next to him with her right hand placed on his cheek.

" I feel his blood soaring through your veins, and I will gladly take whatever remains of him even if it's only a vessel of what he used to be," she said, leaning closer to his ear, " you still have a chance."

After Head that, it went dark and he found himself looking at a young boy who seemed to be barely seven years old standing in the middle of a field with a wooden sword in his hand.

" Mummy, am I finally a Knight now?" The boy asked with a smile on his face, running towards a woman who was walking towards him.

" We'll know when your daddy comes back," she said as she lifted him off the ground and kissed him on the cheek, " it's time for your bath."

It blacked out once again and he found himself back inside the white room immediately after that the same scenario repeated itself and he found himself in a place where he had been just recently.

" Harry please wake up!" He heard Evelyn's cry from the side.

He looked over to his right and could see himself lying lifelessly on the ground and Evelyn was kneeling right next to him, the lady was standing in front of them and there was blood on her face.

" It's only a while before the clock ticks finally. Bear this curse with me, that's all I ask."

He clenched his fist and gritted his teeth before replying, "Yes I'll do it."

Immediately after he said that, everywhere blacked out once again and this time when he opened his eyes, the first thing to meet his gaze was the ground.

" This has become too much of a bore, finish them off Lixus, and bring her to me." The mysterious man said from behind the skeleton slowly marching towards them.

" Princess Rose, I hope you're not hurt too badly!" A man screamed from behind them.

He quickly sat up on the floor and right before he could even do that the man was already standing right in front of him with a lance firmly in his hand.

" Van, do step back this situation is beyond your capabilities." The lady warned, stretching her hand outward right in front of him.

" I'll be careful, even I can sense the amount of innate welling up inside that foul being." He said, pushing down her hand.

She hesitantly brought down her hand and the man instantly charged straight towards the human skeleton walking towards them.

He swung his lance at it the moment he came within striking range and the skeleton was able to block it effortlessly.

He quickly backed away after the initial attack and almost instantly the skeleton dashed straight towards him.

A horizontal slash came straight towards his head and he was able to block by holding up his lance vertically.

Mustering all the strength he could, he pushed the skeleton slightly back while moving to the side as quickly as he could.

He spun the lance around vertically and immediately sent a swing straight towards the skeleton, the sound of the wind being slashed could be heard as the lance came swinging straight towards its skull.

It looked like the attack was going to be a clear hit but like it had suddenly appeared there, the hand gripped hard onto the lance that even he wasn't able to pull it back.

" I certainly can play with you for the moment." The skeleton said, dashing straight towards him.

To everyone, it seemed like it had vanished and immediately after that a punch was sent straight toward the man's abdomen and he was sent flying away.

He picked up his lance and slowly got up from the ground as blood slowly dripped out from his mouth and he quickly wiped it off before taking a fighting stance.

The skeleton walked towards him with its sword in its hand and the man screamed as he dashed toward it with his lance.

He jumped up and swung the lance down at the skeleton as hard as he could and it was able to block the incoming attack with its sword almost effortlessly.

The young man turned around while he was still in the air and landed on the other side on both feet while still facing the skeleton.

Now with his back against the forest he looked both ways and to his left was a strange hooded holding onto a staff while to his left were four people.

" They're all severely weak and injured, I should try to avoid moving in that direction at all costs." He thought, gripping tightly onto his lance with both hands.

He immediately charged straight towards the skeleton which had just turned towards him and just as he was about to enter striking distance, he slowed down slightly and placed his left leg in front.

He closed his eyes for a moment as he concentrated all of his innate energy towards his hand and leg and the moment he opened his he moved at three times the speed at which he was moving before.

The sound of the wind being torn through was heard and in an instant, he was standing a few meters away from the skeleton with his right hand stretched out.

Once again the skeleton had blocked the attack with its left hand and as soon as he launched the attack he pulled back the lance that had pierced the bone hands of the skeleton and pieces of its hand dropped to the ground.

He quickly spun with great speed and attempted to pierce the right shoulder of the skeleton but it was able to block the attack just at the nick of time with the sword in its right hand.

He immediately backed away and watched as the shattered parts of the skeleton's broken hand began to slowly levitate off the ground and slowly latched onto its left hand, completely closing up the fracture.

" I'm certain that the one the grand mage went against was at the same level as this one, that must be why he isn't done yet." He thought, taking a fighting stance.

" It's time I need this." The skeleton said with a dark menacing voice as a green glow began to emit from the palm of his hand and soon after it began to turn into a green glowing energy ball.

Immediately after the mysterious had left with the skeleton, the green energy began to subside and the moment it reduced to the nearest minimum, he dispersed the wind along with it.

" I should send word of this to the king, it seems there's a rogue mage roaming around, and a very dangerous one at that." He thought, turning around to face the opposite direction.

When he got there, he saw only one of the knights who had been sent away and a young woman wearing a slightly long ash-colored gown with the injured woman still lying unconscious next to them.

" Where did the others run off to?"

They both bowed their heads the moment they saw him and the man replied, " Sir, the princess went to deal with a beast to the north and Van went in the same direction a short while ago."

As soon as the old man heard that, he turned towards the north, and that was when his eyes instantly widened and without hesitation, he dashed towards them as fast as he could.
