Chapter 49 Leo vs Carlos

"I'm here to request a fight with you! The winner will keep Elizabeth in their faction while the loser will f*ck off!" Carlos directly stated as soon as he arrived right in front of Leo.

"I decline your request! If you want to keep her, then kindly get her out as far away from me this instant! There's no need for any battle. You can go ahead and keep her if you want. You can even bring her to one of your properties if you want to!" Leo quickly rejected Carlos' challenge.

'Who was Elizabeth even kidding here?'

He wasn't a fool!

If Elizabeth wants to use Carlos as a means of causing trouble to him, then just making Carlos issue a challenge to him wouldn't be enough, since he could simply reject the challenge.

Moreover, he wasn't foolish enough to fall into such an obvious trap, too. Carlos was stronger than him, frankly speaking; that is an undisputed fact. Hence, accepting the challenge is a stupid response since he would surely lose the battle.

"No way, I don't want to be part of a weak faction! I only want to become a member of a faction with someone capable of Triple Layer Casting!" Elizabeth quickly responded, adding more oil to the already burning fire in Carlos' mind.

Carlos was further enraged immediately after being called weak. He doesn't care anymore whether Elizabeth is going to return to their faction or not, he just wants to prove that he is much stronger than Leo right at this moment.

"Let's just forget about her, we don't need her anymore. Let's fight to prove who is much stronger between the two of us!" Carlos said to Leo.

"No thanks, you can go ahead and claim the strongest person title. I don't care about it!" Leo said before turning around. He was not interested, especially if he would just end up humiliating himself by accepting the challenge.

However, such a response of turning around and ignoring him was more than enough to trigger Carlos further. He felt that it was an insult being rejected in such a manner, hence he quickly grabbed Leo's shoulder before making him turn around and throwing a really hard punch straight towards the latter's face soon after.

Leo stumbled back after receiving the punch to his face. Blood quickly oozed from his lips, making his lips red.

Obviously, Carlos' unexpected attack was also more than enough to make Leo enraged, too!

Leo didn't think of playing safe anymore, or any consequences after this fight. He abruptly launched himself towards Carlos.

Arriving in front of Carlos, he then swiftly sent a kick towards the latter's feet to make him out of balance.

However, Carlos wasn't stupid to just allow himself to receive that sort of kick from Leo. He raised the targeted foot as he thought of trying to stomp Leo's legs the moment his kick passed through.

Contrary to Carlos' expectations, Leo was able to swiftly change his attack pattern as he suddenly jumped towards Carlos's other foot, which successfully made Carlos fall to the floor.

After making Carlos fall to the ground, Leo didn't waste any time as he slid his own body above Carlos', right away pinning the latter down.

And just like that, Leo didn't hesitate to repeatedly send out multiple punches towards the latter's head.

Carlos also didn't allow Leo to freely hit him, as he kept throwing punches to Leo's face. But all of his punch was easily dodged by Leo by simply moving left and right while still punching Carlos's head.

Unbeknownst to Leo, his hold on Carlos's body would weaken every time he tried to dodge the latter's punch.

Carlos didn't care about Leo's punch anymore as he tried to flip his body as soon as the latter's hold weakened, which he executed successfully thus throwing Leo forward.

It was finally Carlos'!

While Leo was in mid-flight, Carlos raised his hand forward and grabbed onto the former's waist before pulling it upward. Afterward, he swung his hand around, trying to forcefully make Leo's head hit the floor.

Obviously, Leo wouldn't just allow Carlos to bash his head on the floor.

All of a sudden, a hand made out of rock appeared from Leo's clothes before punching directly towards Carlos' stomach, instantly making the latter let go of his hold on his waist and at the same time throwing him tens of meters away.

Carlos who was on the ground was no longer able to stand up anymore due to the extreme pain he would experience every time he tried to move his body.

The rock hand that Leo used right away vanishes as if it never appeared in the first place.

But everyone wasn't blind not to see the hand made of rock that appeared out of nowhere from Leo's clothes.

Leo didn't mind it though.

Whether they saw it or not, that doesn't matter at all!

What he only cared about right now was to make the person who had brought this situation pay!

He slowly stood up from the ground while wiping away the blood from his lips. Turning around, he slowly walked towards Elizabeth.

Without anyone expecting, he abruptly pulled Elizabeth towards him before quickly sending a slap to her delicate face.

"Next time, if you try to force me to fight someone else again, be sure that you run away far from me as soon as possible. If this happens again, I won't just attack the person you have sent, I'll also turn my focus on you!" Leo said before spitting blood on Elizabeth's face before he turned around, finally walking away from the place.

Cassandra, Alfred, Anna, Michael, and the other three from Leo's faction quickly followed behind to get as far away as possible from Elizabeth and Carlos in fear that Leo would turn his anger to them.

Leo doesn't care anymore whether the people aside from those involved who have witnessed the fight would think he has respect for women or not.

He was enraged, extremely enraged by Elizabeth's scheme!

But he could still calm himself down, especially now that he had defeated Carlos and had given Elizabeth a piece of his mind.

After all, he will make Elizabeth pay for everything soon!

The moment Elizabeth becomes his wife, he'll make sure that her life will be a living hell!

Watching everyone leaving, Elizabeth was soon left alone in a daze after being spit with blood by Leo. It was truly out of her expectations that he would do that to her. She was a woman, after all, and the Heir of the Snow Noble Household on top of that. Being spit on the face had never happened to her in the past or it was even something she thought of happening to her.

Turning her head to Carlos, Elizabeth instantly saw him looking at her full of disdain on his face.

Inwardly, Carlos finally understood that it was Elizabeth who had schemed to make Leo and him fight. He felt stupid at falling into such a trap. He stood up again with the help of the others around him before walking away far from Elizabeth.

Elizabeth didn't mind whatever Carlos was thinking in his mind though as she could try again anyway. But next time, she would do it in a more secretive way. Leo wasn't as stupid as she initially expected. He will not just allow her to do as she wishes once something like this comes up again.

Meanwhile, Leo was slowly losing his vision as he continued walking forward.

Carlos's hard punch to his face had finally taken effect on his head as he could feel his body dwindling in strength and his mind was slowly getting dizzy.

Nevertheless, he gritted his teeth and continued to walk despite stumbling around all over the place.

He absolutely can't allow Elizabeth to witness him in such a weak state. Doing so would for sure only give her what she wants. Moreover, it would make her realize that he isn't as strong as he made her believe.

After some time passed though, his body could no longer handle the toll that he was making it endure. And because of that, his body slowly falls down to the ground and his mind finally loses consciousness.

No matter how hard he tried, he knew that his body was already reaching its limit. And although it is still possible to make it endure until he reaches a safe distance and perhaps makes sure that Elizabeth doesn't see him lose consciousness, he doesn't want to risk it as that might bring about undesirable internal injuries to his body. He absolutely doesn't want to see such a result, so he gives up holding on and hopes that the others will take care of the rest.

A hard punch hitting right on the head, especially from a muscular man like Carlos, would surely make a normal person faint the moment they receive the punch. If Leo hadn't hunted countless Magical Beasts in the past, hence training himself to have strong willpower, endurance, and strength, then he might have surely fainted the moment his face received that hard punch.

Fortunately, Cassandra was right beside Leo the moment he fell unconscious. Hence she was able to quickly catch Leo's falling body.
