I found myself being cared for and not allowed to do anything.
I feel like I'm too relaxed.
But according to Til I still needed to recover.
I feel great though, it's almost hard to believe that I got hurt in the first place.
"You did though, it was pretty bad. Master pratically had to reconnect your shoulder." Is what Til had said to me earlier.
To think it was such a drastic wound.
I guess it's fine since I could relax...is what I would like to think.
I'm not bored, but I feel like I should do something for my savior or something of that nature.
To lay about like this and being taken care of.
I have been bathed, fed, and even had my feet massaged.
Is this really all I have to do?
Am I being ungrateful wanting to 'not' be lazy?
Not only that lying around like this?
I feel like I'm remembering something from that night.
And all this not doing anything is hurting my head.
I have this feeling that a hatred inside me have been brewing.
I guess after Kika was killed by humans it would be natural that I'd hate them, right?
Did I do something? Why do I feel as though I caused a huge catastrophy?
Til came over to me carrying a pot of steaming hot water.
"Ah, what's this for?" I asked.
"Oh, I thought maybe you'd want to soak your feet." He says sitting the pot onto the floor under my feet.
I blush.
Why is this kid so cute?
For an orc he had a pudgy but cute appearance. Kind of like a pug, maybe?
Though it's clear he's a pig.
Before I could dip my feet into the pot of hot water I could hear something coming from outside.
Is that...wings flapping?
"Oh, Master's back!" Til says standing and rushing over to the door.
I blinked in confusement.
Is his master flying on something with wings?
It's too bad I can't see anything from inside.
Til turned to me with a smile, "come on, meet Master." He says waving me over to follow him.
"Is it really okay?" I asked feeling a bit nervous.
Til grins, "of course!"
I nod and stood to my feet.
I then made my way to the door that opened to reveal the snowy landscape outside.
Besides the snowy landscape was the most astonishing sight that I've ever laid eyes on.
So beautiful!
Before my very eyes was a dragon with golden scales that shined like crystals.
"It's a dragon, it really is a dragon." I breathed.
I couldn't think of anything else to say.
"Reesa, come on and meet Master. Don't be shy!" Til says running towards the dragon.
This Master he spoke of, could it be this dragon?
"You seem confused." The deep voice was like honey that washed over my very mind.
It was most likely the voice of the dragon.
Before my eyes the dragon began to glow and take a new shape.
I couldn't help but gape at the man that now stood before me.
Though he now had a human form, his tail was still in place and so were the white and golden-tipped dragon horns on his head.
This man....
No one mentioned that I'd meet an ikeman here!
I shake my head, no I've seen plenty of ikeman in my last life, I shouldn't be like this.
Sure, I've never seen one this handsome, that much is obvious.
Especially one wit a firm jaw shape and stern expression. He even have this cool and mature vibe oozing from him.
Was there such thing as a man with hair that golden and long? It was practically longer than mine!
Or even the fact that he had a muscular body through the tight fitting tunic he wore?
That much manly sexiness is a crime, you know!
I covered the lower part of my fac.
Holy shit, I think I might have a nose bleed!
No!
I slapped my cheeks so hard that the pain snapped me back to reality.
It garnered looks of worry from the other two but I was fine with that.
Instead I must thank this person properly.
I bowed my head instantly, "thank you for saving me!" I yelled as loudly as possible.
I was sure that my whole face was pinker than usual.
Oh man, this is embarrassing!
"No need, how about you follow me in. There's something you need to know about that night." He tells me.
That night?
Does he mean the night he saved me?
I followed him and Til back inside the cabin.
"I'll make tea, Master." Til says leaving the two of us to ourselves.
The ikeman waved me over to take a seat at the small table.
I did so and he sat across from me.
For a few minutes we sat like that until Til sat tea before us both.
I stared down at my tea and heard my heart beating throughout all this silence.
"First, let me introduce myself," he says touching his chest with his hand, "my name is Islacc, and you are Reesa, correct?" He asked.
I'm guessing Til must have told him.
I nod. What else could I do? Sitting across this guy makes me a bit nervous.
This is so not like me. I'll have to collect my thoughts while I'm sitting here.
"Let me first start by telling you that when I found you, the state you were in was dangerous. If I haven't been watching you and saved you, I'm sure you would have died." He pointed out.
Urgh.
Wait, but did he say he was following me?
"Do you remember anything from that day?" He asked folding his fingers.
I see so he won't explain what he meant about following me.
I wonder since when he did.
Right now I should just answer his question.
I shook my head, "as far as memories go, I only remember my subordinate Kika being murdered. After that I was brought to a manor and was being starved. Then after that, everything is a blurr." I admitted.
He rubbed his chin with one hand and sighs.
"That night I only saw a bit, but if I'm right about this. That whole city was massacred that night, and it was you who did it." His says his tone serious.
I flinched after hearing that.
But for some reason instead of feeling regret I felt relieved.
What is this? I must have really lost my humanity.
"You don't look remotely remorseful." He stared at me his crystal blue eyes seemed to be looking deep into my soul.
I quickly turned my face away.
"They deserved it." I mutter.
He blew out a breath, "I understand, I have a suggestion. I took it upon myself to check your evolution stage and I realized that you have a potential." He says.
Potential?
I took a sip of my tea.
"For what exactly?" I asked with a frown.
"To become a Demon Lordress." He says.
I spewed my tea out and instantly regretted it as it lands all over his face.
I wiped my mouth as he took a small hand kerchief to wipe his face.
"I'm sorry." I tell him.
"It's quite alright." He says sitting the hand kerchief on the table next to his cup.
I sat my cup down and stared at him, "what do you mean by what you said?" I asked.
"You hate humans am I correct?" He asked his eyes staring right at me.
I see, so he realized this.
"I guess there's no point in hiding it. But with what you're trying to suggest, does this mean that you also hate them?" I asked.
"I do. Since it's their fault that my family have died." He says.
Oh...
To hear that, he must hate humans more than me.
"Okay, but how on earth can you know my evolution stage?" I asked.
Hell, I didn't even know it until Til mentioned it.
I think I'm lacking in some knowlege since the item only shared the basic knowledge of this world.
"I am an Ancient Dragon. Things like using Appraisal Magic is easy for me." He says.
An Ancient Dragon!!
No way, if my knowledge is correct, Ancient Dragons have become scarce in this world.
Other than that he said something about using appraisal magic.
I almost forgotten that the world I reincarnated in had the use of magic instead of science.
"Is it possible for me to use such magic?" I asked.
He nods, "as long as you eat the core of other monsters or demons. things like gaining magic skills is possible."
Oh, I read that as well.
I even get to choose which magic skills I want to keep or discard.
"So how about it? Will you become a Demon Lordress?" He asked holding his hand out to me.
I grabbed his hand without hesitation, though it was a bit embarrassing.
"Teach me everything!" I say.
I must get stronger after all.
The start of an unbreakable relationship has began!
