Chapter 21

I woke up to see Dennis staring at me, I blushed and hid my face in his chest….he smiled and raised my head.

He kissed my forehead, cheeks and then my lips.

"I'll be going to work soon, do u wanna come along?" He asked.

The school already vacated so there will be nothing to do at home. I nodded in response and he smiled.

"Alright, get prepared…because I'll be introducing u to my workers today"

My heart flinched, I stared blankly at him…till he stood up and was about leaving the room.

Then I had flashbacks of everything I did yesterday, the memories flashed back and I felt the urge to tell him everything that happened.

"Uhm, Dennis I have something to tell u" I said and he came back and sat gently beside me.

"What's that love?" He asked.

I went ahead to explain everything that happened the previous night to him…I didn't leave any stone unturned…I told him about the plan I and mark hatched after the whole stuff.

Dennis was very angry, I could sense it even by just looking at him.

"I should get those bitches arrested, he said angrily"

"No baby, we don't have any evidence or proof" I replied.

I wanted to gather enough evidence and fact before I spill out their beans. I didn't want any mistake whatsoever.

We spoke for a while and concluded we will be patient enough to teach them a lesson.

Then we started preparing to go out. This would be the first time I'd be going to his work place so I wanted to look elegant.

I brought out a bright yellow pencil gown from my wardrobe and a to match heels and head bonnet.

I took a hot bath and in no time, I was ready.

I applied little powder and a dull red lipstick…. I didn't need much make up by the way….my natural beauty is enough to wow people.

I walked down the stairs and met him in the dining room as usual.

"Wow,you're beautiful, I can't wait to get married to u" he said amidst chuckles.

I blushed slightly as he pulled me to himself and planted a kiss on my lips.

After breakfast, we entered the car and he drove to his office.

He assisted me in getting down and held my hands as we walked into the large place.

I was amazed by the atmosphere and the number of staffs he had.

The secretary greeted him politely immediately we entered, she greeted me too but it seemed somehow.she eyed me as I left.

I could feel her stare into my soul as we walked pass her seat.

He whispered something into her ears before leaving and she nodded quietly.

Dennis took me to his office and offered me a seat, I sat down quietly and stared at the beautiful paintings on the wall.

"You like them?" He asked

I nodded with a smile on my face….

An hour later, he called the secretary and told her to gather the staffs, I guessed that was what he told her the other time.

In no time, we were in the board room, the staffs were massive, I felt shy by just standing in front of them.

"Good morning everyone" Dennis said

"Good morning sir" they all replied…smiling and gisting at the same time.

Dennis took my hands and pulled me to himself.

"Y'all should meet my girlfriend and wife to be"he said and kissed my lips.

Everyone roared with applause, I could feel the joy on their faces…..well, almost all of them except the secretary, it was obvious she wasn't happy at all.

Dennis introduced me as a writer and even told them they are currently working on the book I just wrote.

Everyone smiled and complimented my beauty….I felt so joyous
