Sean has been in charge of the Johnson family for many years. And because of that, he was used to managing other people. At this point in his mind, Deanna was just a young woman who had to remain obedient and let Sean arrange the best care for her.
"Then can I go see my friend today? I haven't seen her for a few days, and she must be worried about me," Deanna asked. She knew that she might not be able to leave without Sean's permission.
"Your injury hasn't healed yet. Don't stay out too long, or let your friends come here!" said Sean.
"I'll go out for a bit, and come back after a little talk." Deanna said quickly.
Austin stood aside, neither going nor sitting with them. He wanted to talk to Sean but didn't want to sit at the same table as Deanna. Sean and Deanna ignored his presence and continued to eat their breakfast. Seeing the harmonious atmosphere, Austin was angry that he was in his own home but felt out of place.
Sean looked at the clock and got up to go to the company, with Mr. Mark on his way out. Only Deanna, Austin, and a few workers were left in the dining room.
"I've never seen someone as shameless as you! It doesn't matter how you persuade my father to let you stay here, nor do I care what your goals are. But I warn you! You better leave now and never appear in front of me again! Or I'll make you regret it!" Austin warned loudly.
Deanna drank the milk, wiped her lips, then stood up and looked calmly at Austin.
"If I stayed here and it bothered you, I would be happier. Also, you don't seem to understand something. Mr. Johnson is not only the head of the Johnson group of companies, he is also the chairman of the entire Johnson family. He also owns this Wallace mountain, where he invited me to stay. What qualifications do you have to complain? I'm very curious and looking forward to it. What are you going to do to make me regret it?"
When Austin saw Deanna leave him, his heart was so angry that he wanted to hurry up and kick her out.
Deanna asked Mr. Mark to prepare the car for her and went to pick up Felicia.
Felicia got into the car and saw a bandage on Deanna's forehead.
"What happened to your forehead?"
"Just a little injury, it will heal soon." Deanna replied as she drove.
"By the way, what's so important, that you have to go overseas while the college exams are in progress? Are you not ready for college yet? You said you wanted to go to Royal Albert University, but you missed the entrance exam. Are you planning to choose a regular university? Or will you try again next year?"
"This year I plan to enter a perfume competition. And if I'm lucky, I might be able to be made a disciple by a master and get a special entrance exam. If I'm not lucky, I'll try again next year."
Deanna did regret having missed the Royal Albert University exam. But she was sure to participate in the competition.
"You may not know it, but Clara and her mother, as well as your father, aunt, and uncle, they live at Austin's house. Your father keeps telling everyone that you are unfilial and have no conscience. He even said that he would sue you."
Deanna smiled coldly and said, "How is he going to sue me? Sue me for not supporting him? I'm only 19 years old and still a student, and he's not even 70 yet. He can take care of himself. After a few years have passed, I will give him a certain amount of money every month according to the provisions of the law."
Deanna was angry with her father in a past life. And in this life, she had just ended their father-daughter relationship.
"One more thing… Austin and Clara, they're engaged. I asked people to ask questions, and learned that Austin was doing it to prevent Clara from being looked down upon for being a mistress. Because of that, he worked hard to get his grandfather's blessing. Clara was one of master Helena Baker's favorite students, and was the best performing student of those entering the perfumery department of Royal Albert University. It was highly appreciated by the campus, even before the lectures started. So Austin's grandfather agreed to their engagement."
"Regarding perfume, Clara is quite talented and hardworking," Deanna admits. But how far Clara could go in this life, Deanna would wait and see.
"Still, their relationship is still uncertain. Austin comes from the Johnson family, and he is the only son of his father. Even if his grandfather agreed to his engagement to Clara, his father would not necessarily agree. But even if Austin's father disagrees, Austin has proven his determination and sincerity. The friends we used to have good relations with are now on Clara's side. That's the reality of life." Felicia said.
"Then they're not very good friends. What they do is their own business, and we can't control that."
Deanna knew all these people well from her previous life. And all her anger and sadness it's just the past from her previous life. Now, she didn't feel any emotion about them.
"Austin has said that he would never let you go. Your company might be going through some difficulties…."
"You don't have to worry, I know."
Since Deanna had publicly let go of all pretense with Austin and Clara, she was prepared if Austin interfered with her company. However, she had saved Sean, who would not stand still.
Deanna pulled over and parked on the side of an empty road. She stared at the scene ahead as she spoke to Felicia.
At that moment, a shiny black car stopped before them, and someone got out.
"Oh, you two, watching the scenery here?"
Aurora walked over to them and stared through the open window with a naughty face. She looked at Deanna and sneered, "I heard Austin fell in love and dumped you. I wanted to ask how are you feeling now?"
"Go!" Felicia glared at Aurora.
"Why such a hurry? Let's chat for a bit." Aurora glanced at Deanna with a provoking look, "I'm really curious about your feelings. It's really cheered me up recently, you know? I feel really ticklish thinking about you always defending Austin before this."
"I told you to leave, you hear me?" Felicia shouted.
"Just tell me, how are you feeling now?" Aurora pretended not to hear Felicia and continued to provoke Deanna.
Deanna stared at Aurora blankly, then opened the door and left.
Standing in front of her, Deanna stared for a moment before slapping her in the face.
Aurora did not expect Deanna to take action and fell to the ground unprepared.
"You dare to slap me?" angry Aurora. Aurora doesn't like other people insulting her. And what Deanna did was insulting.
Aurora was instantly furious and stood up to fight back but was quickly kicked in the stomach by Deanna. She fell back to the ground.
Deanna stepped on Aurora's stomach and looked at her.
Felicia quickly got out of the car to stop Deanna.
"Deanna, forget it. She just has a cheap mouth. Don't lower yourself to her level."
Aurora lost face and became angrier. She threw Deanna's leg with great difficulty and wanted to fight back, but she wasn't Deanna's opponent and could only be defeated one-sidedly.
Deanna grabbed Aurora's clothes and dragged her a few steps before throwing them hard at her car with a thud.
Opening the backseat door of the Aurora, Deanna threw it inside. She pulled on her belt and tied her hands to the handle above the car window, then opened the door to the driver's seat and got in.
