Rich in both worlds

"Another door opens when the first one closes". Every time I complained to my dad about how difficult life is, he would respond with this quotation. But I've always believed that philosophy doesn't apply to everyday life. We are all aware that miracles often occur when we least expect them. In my life, a lot of doors have closed, but one has recently opened. I found a gateway that opened up to a different world and rekindled my drive and ambition.

Chapter One

Being forced to get up at five in the morning to go to work is the worst kind of hell a person can experience. As he was making his way to work, Parth was thinking about himself.

Parth represents the unfortunate as a whole. His childhood dreams were never realised. When his parents passed away, he had only recently begun college. He had to live with his grandfather, by law. But even at his old age, Raghu, his grandfather, never stayed at home. He'd previously served in the navy, so when he retired, he got a good pension. He was used to making frequent cross-country trips. Nevertheless, Parth enrolled in a subpar university to study economics and graduated with average marks because he had always desired to be rich. Being life, life never complied with Parth's requests. He failed to get a job there and is now working for an investment company.

As soon as he entered his office, he dialed his grandfather's number, but Raghu didn't answer. Three weeks have passed since Raghu last spoke with him. In order to file a missing person report, he went to the police station after working for 12 hours, around 6 pm. His grandfather's friend and lawyer, Anand, called him as soon as he arrived at the station.

"Hello, Uncle" Do you have any idea where my grandfather is? " Parth was curious. He passed out after hearing the response. His grandfather's ship was due to return last week, but it was discovered broken in the ocean. Parth was astounded that he couldn't even respond. Anand suggested they meet the next day. Parth went home and cried all night. His one and only family has abandoned him here and gone to heaven. Despite his lack of a strong relationship with his grandfather, Parth always looked up to Raghu. Raghu was able to live Parth's dream because he had the freedom to do whatever he wanted.

He went to Anand's office the following day after taking a leave from work. "Please take a seat, Parth. This is Raghu's will. He left you a cottage in a village called Rudiam, along with some surrounding farmland, and he gave the Sailors' Charity Foundation 80% of his money. Even though the village is small, wifi is accessible there thanks to a signal tower."

Raghu always used to say that he would never leave any money behind and would use it all before he passed away, so Parth was momentarily taken aback by the revelation of his will. He took the keys and papers from Anand after standing there motionless for a moment. His compensation was roughly $50000, which was the same as his yearly salary. He made a decision after returning home.

He quit his job the next day, packed his belongings, and traveled to Rudiam Village. The journey was enjoyable at first, but Rudiam was 400 miles from the city, and the roads were extremely bad near the end. The village itself was lovely, but the 12-hour journey had turned his stomach. He entered the village on foot. He inquired at a small store about the location of his grandfather's cottage. The cottage was on the outskirts of the village, and he walked there. His grandfather left him 100 acres of farmland. He entered the cottage, which was not large but larger than his city home.

He ate the food he had brought from the city and went to sleep in a relatively clean bedroom. He awoke the next morning with body aches due to the poor quality of the mattress. He awoke and began cleaning the house. After 4 hours of cleaning, the house looked nice. He changed his clothes and bathed in the open back yard of the house. Because his house was on the outskirts of the village, no one saw him bathing there. Bathing in open areas, on the other hand, is common in villages. He arranged his belongings in the same room where he slept and moved all the unwanted items to the storeroom. He discovered a box there.

It was his grandfather's and it had some books and a map in it.
