Daughter in-law

Jennifer walked towards them looking radiant as she walked gracefully in the maroon gown she had bought from the mall.

"Hello" She greeted and smiled happily.

"Jennifer you've grown so much" Li jie's mother said as she hugged Jennifer.

"Hello Xi Er" Jennifer said as she hugged her cousin.

"Jennifer I don't think you've met my son, Li jie" Li jie's mother said as she introduced the two to each other. Wang Yong's mother and Jennifer also exchanged pleasantries before introducing Wang Yong and Jennifer. After excusing herself,Jennifer went to mingle with the rest of the guests. Jennifer was a rich,educated,well mannered and beautiful woman, she was the ideal daughter in-law any family would want to have. Li jie's mother and Wang Yong's mother were not good friends, they only act as friends in the presence of the whole society so that one can see how good hearted they were but they were sworn enemies but this didn't affect Wang Yong and Li jie's relationship, they were very good friends.

"Jennifer is such a beautiful woman and she also well mannered that any mother would want her to be her daughter in-law" Li jie's mother said laughing.

"Yes and she's also educated and also very good example for young women. I agree with Li jie's mother that any mother would want her for a daughter in-law" Wang Yong's mother said, honestly,this was the first time Wang Yong's mother had agreed with Li jie's mother sincerely.

"Excuse me" Both Li jie and Wang Yong said as they walked away from their parents because they didn't want to be invoked in their discussion which may lead to their parents asking them to get married.

"Yes, well Jennifer is a mature woman and she's the only one that gets to decide whose daughter in-law she will be, we have no say in that"Mrs Han said as she turned to look at her husband who also agreed with her.

" Yes you are absolutely right"Li Jie's mother said, she wished Mrs Han would have just said yes to her proposal,she would have been the most happiest,but it looks like it is was up to Jennifer to decide,either way Jennifer will be her own daughter in-law. All these she thought to herself so did Wang Yong's mother.

This was a battle between mothers who want the best for their family. Both families were the wealthiest families in Spark City including the Han family, Jennifer's parents were famous for their dealings home and abroad,so any family who has an everlasting relationship with Jennifer's parents also has an everlasting partnership with Jennifer's parents,and also and everlasting uplifting. Jennifer's parents were the pillar of the Han family so Jennifer was the most richest heiress in the whole of Spark City. Anyone would have an eye for her and Jennifer was very aware of all these things that's why she rejected many proposals before,she wanted someone that will love her for who she truly is and not because of her wealth. Jennifer felt that she was blessed and cursed at the same time.
