Chapter 11

Lord Ozil saw how good Melfroy in using his unique element, 'Impressive' he thought, 'however the mana he is using still limited to that of Coalescent,'Despite the severity of his situation, Lord Ozil can still assess calmly.

Time to get serious,' thought Lord Ozil as his eyes began to glow with an intensity that surpassed their previous brightness. The violet hue of his right eye began to shift and change, transforming into a brilliant shade of pink that pulsed with power. Lord Ozil's expression became focused and determined as he prepared to unleash his full strength.

As he willed it, the vines began to move in coordination with the orcs, and Melfroy, who was the target of the attack, immediately noticed. He could see the intricate dance between the vines and the orcs, each move executed with precision and purpose. It was clear that this was not just a random attack, but a calculated one.

As Melfroy notice Lord Ozil's pinkish eye he began to frown, and the previous michievous face of Melfroy now becomes a face that is suprise 'A double caster?'.

Melfroy's thought was spot on as Lord Ozils right hand began to move, and as if he is carrying something heavy the fingers of Lord Ozil starts pointing to Melfroy.

Then the black snake like vine began to move even faster, no longer trying to hit Melfroy, but was just trying to get closer to him like flies getting attracted to a fire the snake vein began to move even faster and faster with each passing moment.

In Lord Ozil's vision a number appeared at the top of the arcanist head, this number began from one, then grows everytime the snake like vines get closer to Melfroy, although Melfroy was not hit by the vine there was surely a time where the distance between them is just a few inch.

Melfroy's is not a fool, although he didnt see the number growing above his head nor does anyone in this room, except for Lord Ozil, as a powerhouse of the past he knew a thing or two about voodoo as he faced those old fogies who are more terrifying than this one.

'Given his abilities and skills, this guy will become a formidable opponent if left unchecked,' Melfroy thought, his expression growing a little serious.

Melfroy's movements were lightning-fast as he increased his speed and delivered a swift kick to the orc's face, causing the creature to lose its balance. Seizing the opportunity, Melfroy expertly sliced off the orc's head with a single stroke of his blade. In a flash, he vanished from sight and reappeared behind Lord Ozil, his sword poised and ready to strike.

Lord Ozil stared at his back, 'So simple' he thought and smiled viciously, and just like he predicted a millisecond later Melfroy appeared behind him.

Three snake vines began to immediately assault Melfroy's leg, these snake vine was different from the ones attacking Melfroy earlier, the vines are big and sturdy, but the size and its sturdiness doesn't slowed it down, instead it increased its speed compared to its predecessor. Melfroy found himself caught in a trap as the three massive snake vines swiftly coiled around his legs.

*Snap*

Lord Ozil immediately followed it up by snapping his finger, unknowingly the numbers above Melfroys head has reached 18 and after Lord Ozil snap his finger, dozens of tattoo began emerging on Melfroys body.

Merely a glance at the tattoos is enough to unsettle even the most stalwart of individuals, as they emit an intense and ominous voodoo magic. This is the true might of a 4th-level shaman, 'The evocation of Curse'.

As Melfroy became increasingly covered in the unsettling tattoos, Lord Ozil's frown deepened and his instincts screamed at him to create distance between himself and the elf. Without hesitation, he began to back away from the arcanist, his eyes fixed on him warily.

The Evocation of Curse is widely feared skill amongst any living being who has physical body and have greater mass, after all the effect of this skill is the strong contraction of muscles, leading to immediate paralyze or worse death.

However, in Melfroys state it was useless as he is just a soul who grow a skin, he was hollowed just like an empty space and there was nothing to contracts.

As Lord Ozil moved away from Melfroy, he sensed a sudden surge of mana fluctuation behind him. Turning around, he saw the arcanist emerging once again from the shadows. In a panic, he activated his necklace, causing a powerful shield to materialize around him just in time to block the arcanist's attack.

*Boom*

As Lord Ozil felt a strong force, not only on his physical body but also his soul, and he was ricocheted across the room.

'Gurghhhhh'

'Thats not a force of Coalescent!' Lord Ozil thought as he received critical injury.

"Who are you, elf!?" Lord Ozil barked, completely confused. He even considered the possibility that this elf might be a void walker or a chaos being.

"Now you want to talk?" Melfroy smirked playfully, and just when Lord Ozil thought that this elf might be reasoned with he suddenly heard a whisper beside his ear that made his heart turn cold. "I am your grandfather," the voice said.

*Booooom*

*Cracked* The two shields of Lord Ozil shattered like glass, leaving him exposed and vulnerable.

Lord Ozil gets ricocheted again but this time as his shield was broken his face dig through the wall and several bones of his could be heard breaking.

Melfroy was just about to deliver the final blow on Lord Ozil when he heard the ear piercing scream that Turpis emits who was struggling against the two-3rd stage bloodliner orc who was about to decapitate Turpis, so without further ado he teleports beside Turpis and save him.

"Oh shit, I completely forget that part" Melfroy muttered a slight disappointment evident in his voice.

As Melfroy and Turpis emerged 2 meters away from the two orcs, "Brat can't you f*cking protect your life in a second" Melfroy berated him. But he didn't receive a response, and as Melfroy stare at his student he noticed that Turpis is unresponsive at all.

When Melfroy disengage against the two orcs, they knew that in term of speed they are no match against the arcanist, therefore they glare on Turpis like tiger who went hungry for several days.

Turpis, who didn't know whats going on as all things happened too fast, suddenly felt his hair rise when he saw the two orcs glare at him.

Turpis remembers how he suffered so much against Oriak, and immediately began to run for his life, he even urges himself to grow more legs as he is sure that when the orcs reach him it would be his end.

As Turpis run toward the hole that he crawled through in the beginning, he suddenly felt a strong force from his back.

*Boom*

as Turpis ricochet towards the floor he could feel his shoulder blade breaking and a

unbearable pain assaulted his sense, but he didn't give up, as one thing he learned from his family is how to run against them.

As he gritted his teeth he immediately tried to stand but his one only arm doesnt have enough strength, and so he grabs a nearby rock on his front and tried to propel his body.

*Swish*

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh". Turpis released a ear piercing scream as his three fingers on his remaining right arm gets severed by a silver spear.

The other orc immediately tried to pierce Turpis heart, but it seems as the lady luck is upon Turpis as it misses just a few inches. While the other one, using its foot, it tried to smash Turpis neck.

"Oooooooooo" Melfroys mouth formed an o shaped, as he noticed the injuries of Turpis who was again, about to die.

He immediately put Turpis to the corner and teleported beside the two orcs and severe they're head effortlessly. The reason Melfroy didn't immediately finish the two orcs might be because of the dark snake like vine or he just wants to show off to Turpis what he can do, but when he got too much excited about fighting Lord Ozil he somehow forget how the two orc bloodliners posed a problem to Turpis.

As Melfroy stare at where Lord Ozil was last seen there was no one in there except for a few insects that began to disperse and crawl through the surrounding dirt, Lord Ozil had disappeared like a ghost.

Melfroy couldn't help but shake his head in frustration as he realized that the opportunity to eliminate such a talented and highly skilled enemy had been wasted. He knew that Lord Ozil would undoubtedly report his strange abilities to his superiors, and this would make it much harder for him to move undetected within the mountain range.
