14: Blue Moon (VI)

The sun shone high in the sky, blazing so strongly that it seemed to eclipse even the roaring thunder. The moon also glisten with it's silver light. The sea was full of waves, while Owls seemed to look at it in disgust and anger. Vines grew all along the city, filled with divine fruits. Many other supernatural things happened constantly in the city.

Avernus was the name of the city. It was the home of many famous writers, poets, sculptors, chefs and many more.

Luna walked in the main road. Her eyes landed on the houses that made the boundaries of the road. The houses were all big and made out of wood and rich looking stones.

It would seem like the average person there, was much richer than where she came from. Even their cloths seemed all to be made out of some sort of leather, with extravagant colors.

Some knights, with their heavy armor walked around the city, working for the protection of the people.

Now that she was in the city, the problem was. Where could she find the entrance to the Underworld.

Her gaze went on all around the city. She looked high, higher than the houses and there she found it.

Temples. There were many temples in this city. From the major gods like Zeus, Apollo to the smaller one like Aristaeus.

But does Hades, have one? He is not really prayed to much, because of the natural fear of death and what await's them after it.

Luna then walked toward one of the many people. One who seemed to be a resident. She had long blonde hair with blue eyes and huge breast. Unconsciously Luna's eyes looked closely at those mountain, till she heard a *hum hum*

"Oh, sorry madam." She quickly excused herself, while her cheek seemed a bit red.

The woman looked at her before asking "Do you need something?" her voice seemed to charm everyone, has man and woman equally looked back at her with red cheeks.

Luna was confused, her heart started beating faster and faster. How? But then an invisible wave passed through the city and behind Luna appeared a man.

He had raven black hair falling to his neck and glowing red eyes seemingly piercing the façade that everyone has.

"My my my. I did not know that Aphrodite's daughter could use her charm without any repercussions." His voice seemed mocking.

"Oh and who are you" asked the woman, her arms under her breast making them seem even bigger.

The man's eyes glowed as he said "It does not matter, all that matters is that I am here to follow my Lord's order."

A small laugh escaped the woman's mouth "So you are just dog." Her voice then became haughty and angry "How dare a dog try to block my path"

Time seemingly stopped. Every being except for the woman and the man were frozen. A few feathers fell from the sky. The woman's grim quickly froze. "What l, what?" screamed the woman in confusion.

In front of her, the gentle looking man turned much more dangerous. On his back two black wings grew. He flew toward her before declaring "We will see us again, as you beg to live" he then turned and went toward Luna before saying in a whisper that only the woman could hear. "I am Thanatos, and you will be nothing more than a slave when you die."

Time went on again. And Thanatos and Luna were now far away from where they originally were. "Well Hades originally had the idea, to wait for you to find his temple and then talking with Nemesis. But unfortunately that slut, destroyed those plan with her charm."

Luna only nodded, she was trying to think about who this was, as Thanatos did not have his wings anymore and she was not here when he seemingly stopped time.

They then walked through the crowd of people. And in front of them was a beautiful temple. However the sun seemed to not shine on it. Lightning tried to strike it down but the void surrounding it just absorbed it.

They took one step and they were now in the temple. It was silent. A few statues of different beings stood in it. The ceiling had it's own stars, and a dark sun.

Luna looked closely at the stars and she saw two shapes. The stars made a woman while in the sun, some sort of face could be seen. "Nyx and Erebus" she said.

A few other beings could be recognized in the Temple. Like Nemesis, Hypnos, the furies but also some that she did not know as allies or subordinates of Hades. Like Life (Phanes), Light (Aether), Hecate and a few others.

As Luna and Thanatos walked in the temple, the ground disappeared and silver stairs shaped themselves toward the Underworld.

Each step they took in those stairs, the more Luna felt like leaving the earth. It was like she was now in an entirely different place.

After a hundred steps, they stood in front of a gigantic black lake. In the water could be heard the voice of those that had tried to cheat their way into END.

Luna approached the water and tried touching it. However as she was a millimeter away from the black water, she was teleported.

She was now alone, Thanatos was nowhere to be seen. She was in a crystal forest. Luna took her first step and her foot print burned with black fire. Time passed and with every steps the gravity seemed to grow.

"Welcome" a gentle feminine voice sounded in front of Luna. The vampire of the blue moon looked closely. She had black hair and orange eyes.

"Hello" said Luna. She went to bow, but the goddess in front of her stopped her. "No need. I am Hecate goddess of Magic. Hades gave me and Thanatos the task to train you."
