Meeting The Strongest Warrior

Brian was currently seated in the carriage which was belonging to Samuel and Sarah. Even though they were in the same carriage, it was more spacious than a room at the inn. In fact, the carriage was like a RV from his world. There were two separate room for each of them, and Samuel was surprised at the fact that two horses were enough to drag such a heavy load. Out of curiosity, he asked Brian," Isn't there too much weight for the horses to take on themselves? Why are we not stopping for the sake of the horses? Will they not be exhausted from all the load midway?"

Brian laughed. He answered,"These are the horses which have been tamed and trained to carry the carriages in the royal stables ever since they were able to walk. Even before they were halfway ready for carrying these carriages, they could have easily carried the current load halfway towards the capital. Moreover, there is a person in the last carriage of the envoy which is responsible for using gravity magic to lighten the load of the carriages. He has been doing this for almost 15 years at the very least."

"So Samuel, I want to ask the question. Will you become my personal retainer?" Sarah, who was bored of the current conversation, asked.

Brian sighed. He knew what his sister had done. He was ready to listen to the comment which was already destined to be a sarcastic one coming out of Samuel's mouth. He was too good to be someone's retainer.

"I will, but I have some conditions. I do not want to be a bodyguard. I will be mostly on adventures for training myself, hence I will not have any time to be with you. I will have my part of freedom, but if any harm comes in your way, I will try my utmost to save you, even if I have to sacrifice my life. I will not take any salary from you, because already I am being payed a salary by the council in victory city. I will leave only after informing you when and where I am going to go, Hence If you ever need me, send someone for informing me and I will try to reach towards you as fast as I can. Any Problem?" Samuel said.

Brian was shocked. He did not expect this as an answer. He was pretty much shocked. Sarah on the other hand, was happy. She had a bright Idea in her mind. She said

"I want to ask something. Is it okay if I follow you on these adventures? I want to train myself more. And if you are with me, I can feel rest assured about not dying. Is it okay?"

Samuel had expected this. He knew why princess was doing this. She wanted to keep Samuel by her side, because she did not want Samuel to join any other faction. To her, Samuel was like a blood diamond. Priceless."

"OK, But I will not take responsibility for your life. If I die while fighting a monster, You are dead.

Are you ready for that?" Samuel said.

"Yes. I will try to not hinder you in the future. Let's get a contract made when we reach the capital. I want to make it official."

"Understood." Samuel replied.

Brian felt left out, He said,"Don't leave me out of such conversations. I am an expert negotiator you know?"

"Good for you." Samuel said with a smile on his face.

He trusted Brian. He was a good person. But he did not feel the same about the princess. She still had some evil intent radiating from her which was focused on Samuel.

"Welcome to the Capital Of Sabith, Sefrack. This place is known as the city of legends. I hope you like it here." Sarah said while looking out of the window. She was happy to be back home after such a long time.

The streets were filled with people on both the sides. They had all come to look at the royal procession going towards the Palace.

"So this is Samuel. He is just a child I presume." There was a voice from behind Both Samuel and Sarah. They were sitting on the same seat, and had not noticed anyone get inside the carriage.

"Lord Jermaine,What are you doing here? When did you get in?" Sarah said.

Samuel panicked, He quickly understood how strong This Jermaine was. And he could not defeat such a monster easily. He used Divine Identification on him, just to check what were his intentions.

He was bewildered. Jermaine was dead st on killing him.

"Pleased to make your acquaintance, Samuel....eh, What is you last name?"

"Merlin." Samuel answered.

"Samuel Merlin, That is quite a wonderful name. My name Is Jermaine Sabith. I have been adopted as the first son of the king and I am the commander of the royal army."

And so, the prey had been found by the predator.
