ARE YOU SICK?!

Qincheng Prison

The echoes of voices that belonged to men who have performed numerous crimes could be heard across the aisle between the prison cells.

Tang Dingxiang layed on the solid concrete bed that was provided in the cell. 

"Hey, Old man. What sh*t did you do for you to be tossed into this dump" The scrawny man in the cell across asked.

Tang Dingxiang ignored him and placed his hand on the wound on his stomach. 'What a pain in the a**' 

The plan was unsuccessful because of that little b*tch. He promised that he will make that little girl pay. He didn't know her name or who she was, but he swore on his life that he would make her suffer until the very last fiber of her being.

"THUMP!"

Tang Dingxiang's thoughts were put at a halt when he heard the loud sound of a metal baton hitting a metal tube of the cell.

He faced the policeman, who just opened the cell.

"Tang Dingxiang, get out of your cell. You have a visitor" The policeman said as he cuffed Tang Dingxiang's hand when he walked towards him.

The policeman led him to a room.

In the room, there was an extraordinarily handsome man. His long auburn hair was tied in a ponytail and his dark green eyes looked extremely sinister. The man was good-looking indeed, but he protruded an eminently perilous ambience.

Tang Dingxiang stood there until the police officer left.

"Sit" His voice was profound and devilish as he was the devil himself . It sent shivers down Tang Dingxiang's entire body.

"Yes, boss..." He said as he took a seat.

After breakfast, Yang Jia grabbed her things and rushed towards the front entrance to leave. She was planning on visiting Tang Xiu Ying and Mu Huiling and from there she'll head over to Starlet Media to meet with Feng Lee.

"Want me to take you there?" Liang Guozhi asked as soon as he noticed her leaving.

Yang Jia thought about it for a moment and eventually nodded "Sure"

Being the gentleman he is, Liang Guozhi opened the passenger seat door for Yang Jia and let her sit down. 

Usually he would bend over to help her with her seat belt, but recalling the scene that happened last time. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea.

Of course he will always want to have every opportunity to kiss her, but he wouldn't want Jia to be upset with him.

"Where do you want me to take you?" Liang Guozhi asked as soon as he placed himself in the driver's seat.

"Take me to the hospital"

Tilting his in confusion he asked "What for?"

'Is she not feeling well?'

The thought about it made him panic. He immediately shifted closer to her to see if she was fine.

"ARE YOU SICK?!" He asked in a worried tone.

Looking at Liang Guozhi's cute panicked expression made Yang Jia giggle "No silly…

I'm going over there to visit my friend and her mother"

A wave of relief washed over him and instantly relaxed. He didn't notice how tense his body was with knowing about the possibility that there was something wrong with Jia.

Soon after, the two of them were on the road on their way to the hospital

"I'm going to get my own car since I can't be taking rides with you all day" Yang Jia suddenly blurted out.

The puzzled man looked at Jia with furrowed brows.

"Why?... I enjoy giving you rides"

A faint color of red materialized on her cheeks. Liang Guozhi kept looking at her with puzzlement which was undeniably cute. He looked like a puppy who was about to be abandoned by his master.

He seemed oblivious to her reaction.

 "Is something the matter?"

Yang Jia immediately shook her head "No, no its just that I don't want to be a burden to you because you have to take me to the places I need to go-"

"You're not a burden" He answered rather quickly

Happiness filled her heart with the fact that he doesn't see her as a nuisance, but still-

"I just want to have my own privacy when I'm driving to the places I'm going to" 

Depressed that he won't be able to take her to the places she wanted and needed to go, he reluctantly agreed.

It was sad because the car rides were the only times he was alone with Yang Jia. They even spent intimate moments in this exact same car. Knowing the possibilities of ever happening again were slim made him feel downhearted, but he understood her intention. Even though he wanted to be selfish, he didn't and let her do whatever she wanted to do as long as she doesn't leave him… again.

Not much time has passed before they arrived at the hospital. Yang Jia stepped out of the car and said goodbye.

Yang Jia entered the hospital room where Tang Xiu Ying was laughing with her mom, Mu Huilling. They really looked like a pair of mother and daughter which is a fact, but these two women looked so happy after finally being reunited after years

"Good morning ladies, sorry to barge in like this" Yang Jia said as she entered and sat on the chair that was right beside the bed.

Tang Xiu Ying was sitting right at the edge of the bed while Mu Huiling was laying on the bed.

"No, it's fine. We were actually waiting for your arrival" Tang Xiu Ying said with the biggest smile plastered on her face.

This is the first time she has seen her genuinely happy. Yang Jia was glad that her best friend- no her sister could finally be herself without restrictions and can finally live her life with no chains wrapped around her wrists.

"Oh well then, I'm flattered" Yang Jia teased.

All the three ladies laughed joyfully.

The cheerful vibe that surrounded the room was soon chattered, when a man claiming himself to be a police officer knocked on the door.

"Ms.Mu, I would like to ask you some questions about your imprisonment at the lab" The policeman said.
