She immediately went inside and asked the cashier since they knew each other because she's always buying ramen and other instant foods every afternoon and he's an old friend of her sister.

"Hey, Renzyy! Did your crush went here?"

There were no customers around so Renz just slacks. He likes her sister since they were kids.

"Yeah, she was here. Around 9 P.M. she arrived and bought breads for your breakfast she said and then she left after 10 minutes. She should be at home now, isn't she?"

He stands up. He felt the nervousness while looking at Thelize's puffy eyes and scared eyes.

"I tried calling her but she won't answer! I'm getting nervous! She'll tell me if ever she'll go anywhere. She knows I'm always nervous whenever I contact her!"

She taps her phone rapidly. Whenever she's nervous, she's fidgeting. Renz knows that habit of Thelize but he's also nervous.

"Okay, I-- where is she? Gosh, I'll help you look for her. Just wait, I'll close the grocery."

He stands up and reached for the locks but a group of teenagers suddenly entered the grocery and their conversation made Thelize ran as fast as she could.

"Yeah, her head's bloody as hell! The driver must be stupid! He shouldn't drive that fast when he's on a subdivision. You won't be able to catch who's gonna walk from where."

Renz dropped the keys and went to the teenager who's talking. The other's got shocked and took his hand from their friends collar.

"Where and what happened? Who's the girl?"

He shakes the boy while asking, making him scared.

"Hey, dude! We just saw it at the curve! People's all over the place and ambulance and the car and the girl, who looks like the lady you were talking with but prettier even with blood all over her body," The other teen said while pulling their friend away from him.

He lets go of the boy who went on to go to the chip section.

"No..." he whimpers.

He remembered what Bless said to him earlier, "I'm so happy you're my friend! If anything happens to me, make sure Thelize get free food from here, kay?"

He took his phone and dialed Thelize's number.

She answered during the first ring, "I need help, please Renz. She's... dying and I don't have any money."

Thelize walks back and forth outside the emergency room. She can't cry anymore because her eye's already dried up due to her breakdown earlier.

After hearing that someone's hit by a car, she ran as fast as she could to the accident prone area in their subdivision and there she saw blood and people with the blue and red light.

Her sister's in a stretcher and her head's badly hurt. The driver was crying while the Police arrests him.

Her anger didn't ate her because of how the driver cries. Accidents do happen. She ran to her sister instead of shouting and beating the driver.

'The law will handle him, I don't want to add burden to him,' she thought while saying to the paramedic that she's her sister.

She can't cry anymore but her heart aches. It feels like her bones are cracking down to her soul. Then, blaming greeted her.

'If I chased her and volunteered to buy whatever the f%#$ she needs, she wouldn't get hurt. It should be me, I'm useless, even if I die, nothing will change!' she sat on a bench.

The Doctor then went out of the ER, she ran to him immediately and without any due he said the price of her life.

"We need to prepare for a brain surgery. She suffered severe head injury we need a very huge amount, one hundred thousand dollars at least for her surgery."

She just looked at the Doctor who just pats her back, "We will do our best."

'Huge amount? Just how much is huge?' She walked outside the hospital.

"If I graduated as a Doctor, I can help her or she won't even be in this state. She wouldn't go out to buy her sister's breakfast. If I fixed my life, I would not be a bother to her."

The night was cold but she can't feel anything other than aches around her body. Her head going to burst any moment with all her over-thinking, her hear breaks with her sister's state, her hands feel numb while holding her sister's phone and purse, and her feet hurts with all her running.

She sat on the park of the hospital. The wind breeze caressed her cheeks. Her eyes are growing tired.

"Thelize, are you alright?" A man who's in a blue polo shirt called her.

She can't clearly see who it is with her blurred vision due to her eye's tiredness but when he went near her and called her name again, she finally remembered who it is.

"Lize? What happened?"

'Yuki... It's Yuki.' she smiled but her tears suddenly came bursting.

"Hey, hey~ there, there..."

He went to her and he let her rest her head on his stomach while he stands. He pats her back slowly while her sobs pierce his heart.

It's been 6 years but his feeling never changed. He's still into her. Whatever happened in the past was because of unresolved personal conflicts. They were so young and immature, they both hurt each other. It was no one's fault that they separate.

It was the same with Thelize, she's selfish and proud. She hurt the only person that sees her as she is, the only person who looked at her with love and wonder, and the only person who can match her character.

The nigh was too long for her tears, she grew tired of crying and pushed Yuki.

"Sorry," she whispered.

It was both an apology for crying and for the past. She wipes her tears with her sleeve and Yuki help her, he wipes the other eye softly. His touch was the warmest thing she felt ever since she felt messed up. His touch stitched her wounded soul. He made her feel who she was before.

"Don't worry. It's fine. You can do it again if that will make you feel better."

He sat beside her while looking at the phone and purse with blood that she holds.

"What happened?"

He suddenly felt nervous. What ever happened to Thelize, it hurts him as well.

"My sister, she was injured. She's hit by a car, and the driver was crying as well. He was afraid for my sister's life, he didn't mean it. It was his fault but he didn't want to hit anyone. I talked to the police earlier and he said that the driver was in a hurry because his daughter was alone at their house and she's sick and she needs him..."

Her tears flow once again, her chin felt the hot tears flowing down her cheeks but she didn't bother to hide and wipe it.

They both remember what happened to Thelize's parents death. It was the same. Her sister was sick and she was only three around that time, they rushed home to them with worry and it clouded their minds which caused their accident.

"Don't worry, I'll help you. I'm the President," he laughed, "I uh, can give you free service. Full free service for an old.. friend,"he looked at her who's eye were full of hope.

For a moment, her pride was about to eat her up again but after remembering her sister, she withdraw her selfishness.

"Really? Wait, I will pay you. I will!" She moved nearer to Yuki.

"Well, you can work for me. I heard you studied med?"

The wind suddenly grew colder. Yuki's just wearing a polo shirt and he was about to go home when he saw Thelize.

"I... didn't finish my college," she said shyly while putting her hands between her legs.

"Oh." He was shocked to hear that she didn't finish studying.

She remembers Thelize as studious. It was not just because of grades, but she loved studying. She loved discovering new things and gaining knowledge. He looked at her who internally looks down on herself.

She thinks that Yuki looks down on her so she suddenly felt small. Her nemesis before is now the most famous and successful hospital's President.

"That's fine. You can work as my assistant."

He smiled, Thelize looked at him with surprise. Why would he want an assistant who didn't finish anything?

"What? Are you sure? I am an undergraduate!"

He suddenly raised his brow, "And so? You can still work! You have a brain, hands, feet, capable to write and read. I know that you are smart,"

'and beautiful..'

She suddenly felt self pity. After her last course, she looked down on herself more than she felt proud for herself. Yet, her ex-boyfriend looks at her like she never changed.

"Thank you then. If I ever do something wrong, don't be mad."

She smiled, even for a moment, she forgot her problems.

Yuki smiled at her, her puffy eyes won't cover the fact that she's still the same. She's just lost.

"I'll tell them about the free service, you can go home and tomorrow, I'm sure your sister will be fine."
