REWORKEDDDDD

Farrel, a famous shaman from Earth, is the one who you’ll look for when you have a spiritual problem. Got a scary ghost following you around? Having trouble sleeping with all the unknown cries and knocks you hear at 3 AM? Or do you have an ex-lover trying to hex you? Call Farrel and he will kick the ghost out of your life permanently! However, with his powers to command ghosts, Farrel didn’t just sit still knowing a child was abused by their parents or a politician making people’s lives miserable. Those abusers would either end up vomiting nails or finding themselves awake every midnight with a ghost sitting on top of their bodies! And what would happen if Farrel’s soul traveled to another world where he could do so much more than just sending nails and sleep-paralyzing his victims? “I’m sorry master, I could do what now?” “Yes, child. You now can materialize ghosts and command an army of ghosts!”

Unused Souvenirs

After exerting all his might to break apart the walls of holy energy that were created by the dozens of religious leaders praying together, Bahuwirya could finally force himself inside the house where he left Farrel earlier.

He was supposed to do a quick check over the surroundings to see what was happening, but he never expected the sudden appearance of all the religious leaders.

Bahuwirya was the strongest ghost that followed Farrel, also the strongest one in the forest or even in the country where Farrel currently resides.

He certainly wasn't as powerful as a demon from hell, but in terms of ghosts and spirits, there were only a few in the world that could match him.

And that's why despite the powerful barrier created by the prayers, Bahuwirya was still able to break through them.

Breaking through the barrier cost a lot of his energy, almost all of it actually, and it hurt like hell when he felt his body burning all over from all the contrasting energy around him, but he knew that he needed to do it, he must do it.

He knew what would happen to Farrel who was standing right in the middle of the prayers.

The ghosts that stayed protected Farrel would be thrown into chaos, the spells and the hexes Farrel had would be impeded by the prayers and he would be nothing more than an ordinary human.

Knowing what kind of opponent Farrel was facing, Bahuwirya knew that Farrel wouldn't be able to survive without his help.

He was only about a few meters away from the ceiling of the house, and with his huge body, another step was all that he needed to take to tether his body with Farrel once more.

However, that was the exact moment when Bahuwirya heard the familiar gunshot sound.

He rushed down even faster than before, alas, Bahuwirya was still late.

When he came down, Farrel had already fallen to the ground, and a pool of blood started forming right under his head.

And with no spells working in the dome of prayers, even the spells that could easily heal a hole in your heart wouldn't be able to work.

If he wasn't sure before whether Farrel had died or not, the next second, he was sure because the contract that he had with Farrel had disappeared.

'I guess we would be seeing each other very soon,' Bahuwirya heaved a sigh as he looked at Farrel's lifeless body and the man who was responsible for doing it.

After shooting Farrel with his gun, the man with the sunglasses didn't leave immediately and instead stayed at the opened front door, observing the house with great interest.

"This house sure is creepy…" The man spoke out loud as he took notice of all the weird items either hanging on the walls or put somewhere on the floor.

"Good thing that crazy shaman was arrogant enough to let me stall the time it needed for those religious freaks to come."

Looking at the man, Bahuwirya smirked before thinking, 'Well, he could do it on his own after becoming a vengeful ghost, but I guess I could give him a souvenir for finally joining the spirits' realm.'

With the contract that bound him together with Farrel disappearing, so did the seal that contained Bahuwirya's real power.

His real strength was so powerful that Farrel's mortal body couldn't utilize it properly and Bahuwirya had to seal it ever since entering the contract with Farrel lest he wants the human to break.

With his returned power, Bahuwirya easily made a connection with one of the cursed items hanging on Farrel's walls despite the prayers still ringing around all over the house.

And with a quick tugging motion of his finger, Bahuwirya sent a wavy-looking short sword that Farrel got from South East Asia to fly with its sharp tip pointing forward.

And the target was none other than the man who still stupidly stood at the front door of the house.

The speed of the sword was as fast as the bullet that the man shot with his gun, but the sword flew soundlessly and without any signs, it just moved and stabbed itself deeply in the man's throat.

Without even knowing who or what had killed him, the man only felt a prick on his neck, before then his throat and lungs were filled with blood.

'And then boop, boop, boop.' Bahuwirya extended his hand, his fingers moving in a picking motion as they hovered over the dead bodies of the three men.

With each picking motion, the soul of a man was plucked out from his body.

And seeing Bahuwirya's the first thing they regained their consciousness, the three men all froze in place as they tried their best to run away or even release a scream.

But since they were now in the spirit realm, without a physical body protecting their spirit, Bahuwirya's presence was even more overwhelming for them, not even letting their voices out.

Then with a simple snatching motion, Bahuwirya grabbed all three souls with one hand and then sat right beside Farrel's body, waiting for his soul to come out of his mortal body.

'These prayers are really annoying…'

With a snap of his fingers, Bahuwirya changed the size of his body to that of a normal human and created a barrier that was barely big enough to fit him and the dead Farrel beside him.

'Come on now little man, don't make me wait too long or I will drag you out of there.'

It usually takes quite a long time for a soul to come out of its body, just like how the soul of the two men still didn't come out on their own even after the fight was finished.

However, that shouldn't be the case for Farrel since he was a shaman and already knew about souls and how they worked.

Farrel would probably need a few moments to realize he was dead and then adjust his soul, but that was that.

And it had been more than 1 minute, but Farrel's soul still didn't show any signs of coming out.

'Alright, that's it, I'm pulling you out.' Bahuwirya decided as he extended his hand forward once more.

However, just a split second before Bahuwirya plucked Farrel's soul out, he suddenly felt a very overwhelming presence appear surrounding him and the whole house.

It felt very suffocating as Bahuwirya lost control of his own body. He tried to move away, but even lifting his fingers was impossible for him.

And it didn't seem like he was the only one who felt it as the constant prayers that enveloped the whole house suddenly went quiet.

The religious leaders that used to spout prayers nonstop had all stopped saying anything since all of them had puked blood before losing their consciousness.

All the accumulated holy energy surrounding the house disappeared as another energy, one that was contrasting to it, filled the whole surrounding, even branching out to the forest around.

'This kind of presence…. Is this a descend of a high-ranking demon….?'

Bahuwirya thought to himself as he received the same treatment the three men had received, losing control of themselves in the presence of something else too strong for them to handle.

Bahuwirya might have lost his ability to move, but his eyes could still Farrel.

And right in front of his eyes, Bahuwirya saw a black portal appearing right above Farrel's body.

He tried to figure out what the black portal was going to do, but when he figured it out, he realized that he couldn't really do anything either.

He saw Farrel's soul which was somehow still unconscious being dragged out of his body and instantly entered the black portal before the black portal disappeared.

Right after the portal disappeared, so did the overwhelming presence that kept Bahuwirya rooted in place.

The dense dark energy that enveloped the surroundings still lingered, but it wasn't anything as strong as the original one.

'Even the lingering aura is stronger than the whole presence of my being…'

Bahuwirya focused on the lingering dark aura and realized something.

'It is certainly the darkest kind of energy I've ever felt, even amongst the strongest demons I've ever met.'

'But…'

'But this kind of energy is different from the ones that the demons exuded…'

Feeling the dark energy that didn't terrorize him or made him uncomfortable but instead felt like nourishing him instead, Bahuwirya was sure that it wasn't the same aura that the demons brought whenever they went.

'It is dark energy, but it wasn't sinister.'

'Just what the hell is happening here…'
