'Magically regenerate its body…'

'The slime is using…magic…?'

[Ding Dong! You are correct!] The system's mechanical voice 'excitedly' said inside his head.

[If you look closely, the slime didn't even have an ounce of muscles in its body, how could it move around without any muscles? Your guess is right, that slime uses magic or more accurately mana even just to simply exist and live! So… If you want to defeat a creature that heavily relies on magic with high physical regeneration ability, then you need to use…]

"Magic…" Calle muttered.

[Ding Dong! You are once again correct!]

"But how do I use them? I don't have a single clue how to use magic."

[You've got yourself a familiar that is able to control mana as easy as breathing right after they are born. It's better to ask him rather than asking me.]

Calle then took a look at the little dragon that was calmly floating beside his head then opened up his mouth,

"Edric, can you use magic?"

"Magic?" The little dragon asked while tilting his head. But then the little dragon delved into the shared memories with him and Calle and found out what Calle meant with the word magic.

It also helps a lot for the little dragon as when Calle asked Edric about magic, Calle was thinking about the dragons that he knew from those video games and resurfaced the image of those dragons when they let out a breath attack or just simply cast a spell to summon a meteorite to crash against the players or a blizzard that freezes an entire lake over.

Edric then stayed silent for a couple of moments when he saw the pictures inside Calle's head before he finally said,

"I don't know about summoning a giant rock from the sky or creating a very cold wind to freeze everything, but I can certainly spit stuff out of my mouth!"

Calle then looked at the little dragon in excitement and said, "You can really do that !?"

"Yes! Spitting out a bundle of mana from my mouth should be easy peasy!" Edric said while proudly patting his puffed-out chest.

"Can you please do it?? I want to see it!" Calle once again said excitedly.

"Sure!" Edric replied, no less excited than Calle himself.

The current Edric was literally not even a day-old baby that had just hatched from its egg. Although he had learned a few things from seeing Calle's memories including how to talk, he was literally still a kid that loved to get attention. Moreover, the one that gave him the attention was Calle, which was basically his parents and master since he was born from Calle's blood and he was also Calle's familiar.

So the moment the little dragon got a chance to make his parent and his master proud, of course, he would do it using all of his efforts to try and impress Calle as best as he could.

"Do you want me to aim it towards the slime?" Edric asked, to which Calle replied by nodding his head.

Edric then started pulling out mana from all over his body and gathered them all into his mouth as he faced his body towards the blue slime that returned back to its dormant state after losing Calle and Edric from its detection range.

With the urge to make Calle proud of him, Edric went above and beyond as he gathered enough mana in his mouth until he was barely able to contain it anymore.

And just right before he lost control of the bundle of mana, Edric opened up his mouth and sent a very bright, glowing ball of white light half the size of his own body toward the blue slime's direction.

So far, the blue slime had used mana to perceive everything around the 3 meters radius of its body, and the mana sense was the only sense that it had, hence why the blue slime didn't give a single reaction when Calle waved or shouted toward the blue slime from afar.

Being the weakest of the weakest slime in the dungeon, 3 meters was supposed to be the maximum detection range that the slime had. However, the moment Edric spit out the glowing white ball that was made up of a dense gathering of mana squeezed up together into the ball half of his own body size, the blue slime could feel its mana sense tingling even when the mana ball was 5 meters away from the slime.

And when the white ball of light finally reached the 3 meters distance of the slime's mana sense, the blue slime was assaulted with an overwhelming feeling of his mana sense overloading as the densely packed mana ball reached closer and closer towards the slime.

The white ball of light traveled unhindered towards the blue slime as the blue slime had its mana sense overload, causing the blue slime to stop functioning altogether as it froze in its spot.

The next moment, the white mana ball finally clashed against the blue slime's body. However, it couldn't even be called a clash as the white mana ball just went straight swallowing the blue slime whole in just a split second before continuing its way towards the ground.

When the white mana ball hit the ground, the dense mana that was squeezed inside the ball was finally released as a deafening explosion was heard, causing Calle to unconsciously flinch back a little just from hearing the sound.

Even though he was quite startled by it, both of his eyes were still wide open as they were clearly locked onto the slime's former location, which was now concealed behind a cloud of dust that was still flying everywhere due to the force of the explosion sending dirt scattering in every direction.

And when the cloud of dust finally settled down, Matthew could finally see a man-sized crater, huge enough to even bury him inside the slime's location, with the slime completely gone, without a single piece of its body parts left.

And the one who was responsible for creating the crater was none other than the few minutes old baby dragon that was still floating beside him with a smile plastered on his little dragon face while looking straight at Calle, waiting for Calle to shower him with compliments for his achievement of defeating the blue slime.
