“Know them?” asked Earl.
“They’ve been driving around the block a couple of times, checking out Caleb,” shot Sebastian. “They probably wanted to know if he owns a shirt.”
Caleb rolled his eyes. “Whatever.”
Sebastian grabbed the box from Earl and walked up the steps with Caleb and Joan’s father as Joan leaned in to whisper to Caleb. “I guess I was too drunk when I first met him. When I was leaving that restaurant because I didn’t notice how cute Sebastian is.”
Caleb took the steps holding the box with both hands, turned part way to speak to her and whispered in turn. “He is cute. Very cute.”
Joan smirked. “And he seems to make you very, very happy. And that, little brother, is all right by me.”

Sebastian leaned into Caleb and read over his shoulder. “What? What’s wrong?”
