Chapter one

Jacqueline's P.O.V

My name is Jacqueline Wilson, you can call me Jackie for Short. I'm an eleventh grader, I'm the most popular,cutest and flexible, am also a sport lover.

Presently I'm in the swimming pool trying out some new diving skills. "Jacqueline, it's time for biology class already, please be fast so we can meet up with time"Skylark said as I swam out of the water and into the dressing room. I took a shower and dressed up. I took my bag and ran to the biology lab for my lecture.

"MISS WILSON YOU ARE LATE AGAIN!!!"Miss Clara said as I entered the lab. I apologise to her and quietly went to my sit. Throughout the class, I kept thinking of better way to tell my friends about my departure.

"Jackie"Skylark called me , when I looked up, I found out that everyone had left the lab, I was so deep in thought that I didn't even realise that the bell for closing had gone. As I was packing my things, my other friends including Skylark all gathered around my table.

"Spit it out"Skylark said

"What?"I asked with a confusing look.

"What are you thinking about that you didn't even hear the closing bell?"Skylark asked me.

I pretended not to hear her and I was about to leave when they all stopped me.

"Unless you tell us what is bothering you, you are going nowhere" Sophie,one of my friends said.

"okay,fine, I will tell you"I said and they all listened with rapt attention.

"I'm moving to Richmond with Mum and Dad tomorrow".

"What?"Ashley asked. All of them wore a shocking look on their faces due to the news."

Why are you just telling us about it?"Tiffany who is the smallest and the most emotional among us asked and started crying.

I explained to them that I just heard it from my parents that morning before I came to school. As we walked back home,I knew I was going to miss my friends a lot(Skylark, Ashley, Sophie and Tiffany).

We went to my house and they assisted me with packing my things.when they were about to leave,they told me how much they will miss me and that I should keep them posted on our group chat.
