Lewellyn sneakily pointed the palm of his hands towards the direction of the handle of the blade.
With one swift movement, wind magic flew at the pace of a bullet towards the blade.
"Argh!" The man yelped. The blade flicked out of his hands forcefully.
"Hold that kid down!"
Using this opportunity given to him, Kai reached out his hands and snatched the pocket knife. He could hear the sounds of chaos erupting around him but he didn't care.
He quickly fell back and landed on the floor. Kai pushed himself up on his wobbly legs and he swung the blade at the person closest to him. He winced.
Lewellyn had now recovered from the attack but he was still pinned to the wall. His arms were held behind his back. His hands began to blaze with fire.
The man holding him down was intently watching Kai instead of focusing on Lewellyn. When he felt his hands warming and blazing up, he reacted far too late.
Red flame filled his vision and he felt his body being burned alive. Fire crawled down his entire body, devouring him.
Lewellyn rushed to attack the other men before they noticed he was on the loose, he pointed his fingers into a gun shape and aimed in between the eyes of one of the men. He had imitated bullets using wind.
The man dodged skilfully and closed the distance with just one swoop, he grabbed Lewellyn's head and bashed it in the ground. He turned away to help his friend but was stopped by his arm getting smashed in.
Lewellyn had created an air cushion right before the man could bash his head on the floor. He was still very much conscious, so he grabbed one of the pots on the lower shelf and slammed it into the elbow of the man.
The man groaned and fell to the ground and attempted to recover before he felt his face getting trampled on. He could feel the soles of the shoes heating up and burning his face.
Lewellyn used his leg and kicked the man up his jaw and relinquished his fire. The man was definitely knocked out for good. All that was left was the one fighting Kai.
Kai missed when he had swung, he could feel his leg twisting and his body falling forwards in return. He ignored it and swung his arm back and he stabbed the man. He could feel the blade penetrating into the flesh but he was shoved off.
Kai then fell to the ground with his back against the manl but he quickly backed himself against the wall. He could feel his right leg going numb, he knocked it against the wall a few times to let it get some stimulation.
The man now was pissed off, he grabbed a large knife from his belt and advanced towards Kai. He threw the blade and it missed the boy by an inch of his hair. He took another one from his belt and this time, he dashed towards Kai and swung eagerly.
Kai shifted his weight over to his arms, he lifted his lower body and landed a kick on the man's abdomen. He threw himself back on his feet and grabbed the knife and slash at the man. He could see his opponent faltering, he threw the blade.
Kai could see the blade swinging midair with extreme velocity before coming to a halt. He hit the bullseye. Once he saw the enemy flopping to the floor on his knees before landing on his face, he heaved a sigh of relief.
"Kayden!" Lewellyn yelled, jumping over the bed and catching him before he toppled.
Kai smiled and regained his footing.. "I'm fine. Did you..kill them?"
Lewellyn stayed silent and sneaked a peek at Kai's expression. Would it be foolish to admit that he did? Would it turn out to be a mistake? Would he simply lose a friend like this in an instant? "I-I..yes I did." he nervously replied.
Kai let out a small laugh as he found Lewellyn's face funny to look at. Was he scared of disappointing him? He smiled and ruffled the boy's hair. "You think we can get away with it?" he asked in a playful tone.
Lewellyn's eyes open in surprise. He snapped his head up to look at Kai's face that still retained his original smile. "You aren't..scared of me? I killed someone-"
Kai placed a finger on Lewellyn's mouth, once the boy was quiet, he pointed at the corpse with a knife in its head.
Lewellyn paused and tilted his head. He looked at the person who was once fighting Kai. A knife straight through his forehead. WIth no blood whatsoever, it was a clean cut.
His heart beat paced faster the more he looked at the corpse. He traced his eyes back to Kai. He was the same.
"My uncle will settle this. Rest assured." Lewellyn felt his heart start to ease slowly.
Despite the fact that the dead unmoving corpses that have gone stale. Thoughts of removing traces of people that were once alive.
"I think we should leave the clinic. I'll stay in the hallways of the upper deck in the meantime." Kai suggested, picking Luar off the shelves gently. It was awfully quieter than usual. "See you then."
"Right. I'll be right with you." Lewellyn said, watching Kai walking out of the door. He then focused back on the corpses.
"Guess dad'll have to settle the rest with uncle." Lewellyn murmured. He spotted a first aid kit at the corner of his eye and took it off the shelf. He'll need this later.
Lewellyn dragged all the bodies to one area of the room and left. He locked the door with a chain and a padlock before heading to his uncle's room.
Kai headed upstairs, he let Luar walk on its own as he needed to hold onto the handrail. He could feel his entire body burning. His face was dried with blood and so were his hands. Worst of all, his leg was struggling with each step it took.
"Why are you so quiet?"
Luar looked at Kai. "Do you really not know?"
"Who knows?" Kai replied with a smile, his eyes glowing.
It was those insane eyes that remained cold as ice while killing someone. No remorse or doubt whatsoever. Those eyes sent shivers to the watchful cat.
