CHAPTER 6: Family Face Off

Having the beauty it takes to enter showbiz, the talent to compete with others and knowledge of the future popular idols, celebrities, music etc. I have long wanted to become an idol and enter the kpop industry. I know that kpop will become mainstream and popular in the future so I wanted to become part of it early on so as to set a good foundation. I know that the audition will be fierce but just depending on my looks, aside from the talent I have to back it up will certainly help me take up a spot.

I have amethyst eyes with long dark eyelashes that I got from my Lavendulan great grandparents from my father's side, I got ebony black silky straight hair from my Korean mother, I got fair, smooth pinkish baby skin and natural rosy pink lips from my mother and I got the popular Duchess nose shape from my father. These qualities makes me stand out even though I'm still just 14 years old but I normally do not show my features outside our home. Actually, my face and personal informations about me was kept confidential as I requested from my family because I have planned early on in my life to only use my beauty to become famous on my road to stardom.

I wanted to keep my identity as the daughter and only princess of the Estrella family in Lavendula kingdom, a secret because these will only jeopardize my plan of starting at the bottom. Giving away my identity will automatically put me into showbiz without an effort if I really wanted to and no one can stop me for my family has that kind of power. Not the power like a superpower but just the charm to command those around us, most especially the men in our family as we have the genes of an Alpha male who is trained to exude superiority and elegance to the bone. That is why it is hard for our family to stay together in one room for they usually fight for dominance except of course if me, my mother and the women in our family is present.

And today, I have to face that same family to not ask permission because they will certainly not allow me, but to speak to them of my decision to enter the entertainment industry or show business. And I think they will really react negatively about this for I am protected all my fourteen years of life by my family without experiencing the hard truth or darkness of life.

In our dining area, we are currently having our meal composed of this taco featuring Kobe Beef, Almas Beluga Caviar & Black Truffle Brie Cheese, served on a gold flake-infused corn tortilla. The taco is also served with an exotic salsa comprised of dried Morita chili peppers, Ley.925 ultra-premium añejo tequila and topped with civet coffee beans. There is also a mouthwatering Wagyu beef, topped with foie gras and truffles. It also comes with a few slabs of prime foie gras and duck fat in a freshly baked brioche bun. A whole-roasted barbecued pigeon, oyster concassé and monkfish among aubergine caviar with sautéed ceps. Saffron risotto with liquorice powder. And a dish of ravioli, chicory and ricotta topped with grated white Alba truffles. Our meal could be said to be extravagant and delicious as it was cooked by our very own Michelin chef.

I had been thinking of how to introduce my entering of the entertainment industry to my parents and protective brothers. I am really nervous on how to explain my matter to them. When I saw that they are nearly finished eating, I mustered all my strength, courage and will to say the words...

"M-mom, dad, brothers, I have something to say to all of you."

"Okay, we are listening. What do you have for us?"

"Well, I have been thinking of entering entertainment industry as an idol. I know that you are going to be against this but I really wish to become famous as a kpop idol without our family's influence."

Silence...

"Ellatrise, my daughter. We know that you have many aspirations in life and you have never disappointed as with your choices. You made us proud with your achievements in school and even after you have become an architect. You made all those intricate designs, craftsmanship and landmarks that are widely recognized to many people. And you entering teh entertainment industry is not a problem to us. Actually, we have already discussed about this even before. We already know that you want to be a kpop idol and we have seen how you look at those idols you've been watching tirelessly. Watching those dramas, songs and videos repeatedly. Honestly, we've been waiting for you to talk to us for the longest time. We even thought that you will enter showbiz after graduating in college but you still worked as an architect for about two years which really surprised us."

"Really, mom!!? Is it true, am I not dreaming???"

"Yes, it's true, my daughter. We have no objection of you entering the entertainment industry but we have a problem. Your eyes will reveal your identity, connecting you to us. So how will you explain that? It is a well known fact that our ancestry came all the way from a hidden monarch kingdom in Asia. We have been living all alone, with all our people without the influence of the outside world as instructed by as from our ancestors. It served as a warning that we are not to be seen by the outside world and only if the descendants our decreasing in an alarming rate that we are allowed to propagate with the outside world. It was at that time that your father met me, a person from the outside world. And is by fate, I was entranced by his beauty and majesty. It is well-known that there is no purple - eyed person in the world. There are only blue, black, brown, gray and green. And there are no other else. So upon witnessing someone having a purple eyes so rare in the world that I fell in love with your father. And as if the fate is colluding for us to be together, your fathers' kingdom have decreasing numbers of women in an alarming rate with a disease not known by even by your fathers' best doctors. So when it was found out that your father brought someone from the outside and had a relationship with her, they did not have much resistance. They hope that I will be able to give them a new generation of royalty. "
