"So um… you can kill me whenever you want okay?" she called out to the kidnapper on the floor for the hundredth time and he groaned, holding his head.

"No shut up, shut up okay??!" he spun around angrily and pulled her face towards him by the hair. "I get to decide whether you live or die you- you keep your mouth shut. You don't fucking get to give me permission."

"Oh okay," she went quiet. A few minutes passed by while he sat back down on the floor.

"I've decided," he turned to her. "I will keep you here for a few days to see if you're lying or not. Someone is bound to notice if you go missing right?"

"But-"

"But if you're telling the truth I will kill you. You can't go free after having seen my face anyway. Deal?"

"So if I was lying indeed and you did get the amount you wanted you'd have still killed me?"

"No," he replied instantly. "I would just have moved away. I was planning on going overseas next month anyway…" he stopped all of a sudden.

Why was I telling her this? He wondered.

"Anyway so you'll be here with me for now," he said with a triumphant smile. "Bet you hate that, huh."

"Uh… I'm actually very happy," she closed her eyes. "I had done a terrible mistake at work last day and was supposed to see the manager tomorrow, I'm glad I'm here."

He pressed his lips into a thin line. She was so impossible to deal with, it unnerved him.

"Just so you know, I'm the kidnapper here."

"Yes yes," she sighed. "I'm aware."

They sat quietly for some more time when his phone rang.

"Looks like I picked up some lunatic little psycho," he answered the person on the other side. "Yeah I will see for a few days then finish her off. I understand." He hung up the phone and turned to her. His eyes widened when he saw tears streaming down her cheeks. She was trembling slightly and the sight was too painful even for him to watch.

"Hey… what happened to you while my back was turned?" he asked curiously.

"You… even you don't want me…" she sobbed, her eyes blurry from the tears. "You called me a lunatic…"

"What."
